Additional information and experience - Elaine Coffey
I'm a retired mathematics professor with a Ph. D. in mathematics and 35 years of full-time college teaching experience. I have taught courses in basic statistics, precalculus, calculus, ODEs, linear algebra, probability, non-Euclidean geometry, real analysis, complex analysis, set theory, and logic. I am prepared to tutor in any of these subjests. In tutoring, I take a Socratic approach. I try not to tell a student how to solve a problem, but instead I ask leading questions to help the student figure it out for themselves. I live in Hammond IN, and will meet students in my home, their homes, or coffee shops throughout Northwes Indiana. |
