"Quick summary: I can teach any subject and help any student of any background ace any test. I will sit down and make a unique agenda specialized for the student to best help them accomplish their goals. I will be honest and upfront about everything. I can help you if you need me." I started tutoring when I was a junior in high school. My teacher announced that I had gotten a perfect score on my PSAT’s and I was flooded with requests. After I started tutoring SAT's to my classmates I started to realize that not only did I really enjoy teaching, but that I’m also really good at it. When I finished high school I had already tutored students for the SAT's, ACT's, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP English, AP Calculus and AP History. Through high school and college I continued tutoring. I went to Pennsylvania State University for Chemical Engineering with an Option in Fuels & Energy, a minor in Chemistry, a minor in Energy Engineering, and a minor in Environmental Engineering. During college I had tutored college physics up to quantum physics, college chemistry up to organic chemistry II and quantum chemistry, calculus up to advanced differential calculus (Calc 4), and a multitude of other subjects. I’m the guy that you would ask a question to five minutes before a huge exam. Since 2010 I have been one of the highest rated professional tutors in the country. I tutor every subject taught in elementary, middle and high school, including subjects up to a graduate level. Which isn't limited to any math (calculus, trigonometry, algebra, geometry), any science (biology, physics, chemistry), and of course test preparation (SAT's, SAT II's, ACT's, GRE's, AP's, MCAT's). I also teach any English (reading, writing), history (American, World) or literature subject. I’m willing and capable to learn a specific subject for a student upon request. I grew up with a passion for learning, which all of my students benefiting. Exuding a positive attitude towards learning while immersing into a difficult subject helps my students thrive. I believe the atmosphere and approach significantly impacts the student’s success. This makes any students feel comfortable dealing with difficult subject. It’s common for a two hour tutoring sessions to feel like 30 minutes. My own test scores are as follows: I could have done a lot of different careers in my life and still can if I choose too. However, I really enjoy teaching and being able to help a student overcome a class or test. Therefore I tutor full time while building my company on the side. Nothing can compare to being able to teach, mentor, inspire and help any student gain confidence in a subject/test. I also do a lot of college counseling as well as help pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-law, and pre-business students get into Medical/Dental/Law/Business school. I love to help a student make the best possible college application, thesis, lab report, technical document, etc. At this point I have taught and helped hundreds of students from all over the world. Some of these students were online and would work with me via Skype. It is common to have at least one student overseas or whose schedule requires some time over the computer. The age of my students range from 7 to 67 years old. I have had students with ADHD, dyslexia, lack of motivation and genuine hatred for the subject in question. I am able to understand why students struggle with a subject despite their age or background. Because I can connect with my students and because I know the material very well, I can always tell what the student does and doesn't understand. In that respect I have learned how to help my students find the answers themselves without me saying it. I believe in teaching concepts and understanding instead of just memorizing or copying down answers. Without the student realizing it, I can analyze and find out the best possible method for him or her to learn any subject. Each student is unique and I personally enjoy meeting a new person and seeing how they can best learn. I have extensive knowledge in most academic backgrounds and can show the real life applicability of any subject. Whatever your goal is, I can show you how to obtain it. My schedule changes every week but I can be very flexible, especially if a student has a last minute test or project. I schedule weekly sessions with my students as soon as I can to make sure that every student can be helped as much as possible. I put my heart and soul into every student I meet. Whatever your issues may be, even if they are financial or schedule based, I will always find a way to make things work. |
