I base my lessons on teaching middle school students, preferably 6th or 7th graders, the basics of algebra and preparing them for future courses such as Algebra 1 and Geometry. I'm planning on teaching classes virtually, preferably on Zoom or Google Classroom. We'll meet around 15-20 times for the whole summer with 2-3 meets per week throughout this summer course. Each class will be 90 minutes long and students can contact me and schedule a 1:1 session if one is struggling or have any questions regarding the material that is being presented. This class will have homework for students as I believe homework is an effective way to practice and master the material. Before the course starts, it is required that each student and t should take a diagnostic test so I'll have a sense of each of my student's strengths and weaknesses.
