I have 12 years of experience tutoring k-12 and college students in math, science, engineering, and technical writing over the phone, video chat and in person. I also taught high school for 2 years and consulted for McMinnville School District, writing curriculum for their engineering pilot program at Evergreen Aviation Center that aligned with Portland Community College’s ENGR 100 course. I have a passion for life-long learning, sharing knowledge, fostering students’ intellectual, social, and emotional growth. I continually monitor and adapt my tutoring practices in order to address each student’s rate, level and learning style. I have worked with TAG students, IEP students, and students who became anxious with just the mention of math or a spreadsheet. Students know how much I can teach them, once they know how much I care.
