As an Special Educator,/ Head of Special Education Department, there has been a consistent passion to educate students who have special needs through incremental growth as well as adapting to the external environment. In my capacity, I have conducted the necessary program to enhance their overall wellbeing. Case in point, I have been instrumental in monitoring the process of my students through performance assessments, utilizing www.*** 's similar to www.*** ' s as legally binding document in Jamaica, life skills programs namely sewing and jewellery making, infrastructural improvements and resources essential to improve education of students. Additionally, I have invited speakers to assist with the development of the teachers/ teacher assistant to improve their practise. My overall involvement of the school (Hope Valley Experimental School) has given me Teacher of the Year for two consecutive years that is 2017-2018 and 2018-2019. I would be honoured to work with your team to continue the work of improving students learning. |
