My career is in education, with specific focus on secondary math. Having taught at private, charter and public schools for a number of years, I have gained valuable experiences educating a broad spectrum of students at all levels of secondary education. I enjoy working with children and challenging them everyday to reach their highest potential and set a solid foundation for their future. My instructional strategies include: a) direct instruction, collaborative assignments, assessment tools such as homework, worksheets, quizzes and exams. b) differentiated instruction across the spectrum of higher order learning from comprehension up to the synthesis/assessment level to accomodate an integrated environment of myraid apptitude levels. Subjects I teach are, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Math Essentials, and ACT Prep. In addition, I have strong, concise and eloquent writing skills. |
