I have been a student of history since I was a toddler listening to my father tell stories of Greek heroes. Since then I have studied almost every era and nation of human history is some detail with my specialties being European and American history. It was this interest in American history that got me into studying goverment, and get a Masters' degree in financial management. The study of history goes hanad in hand with the study of geography, and have no less than two maps of the world hanging in my room. I listen to podcasts on history daily, as well as watching videos on the subject when I can. I have never formally tutored but I often teach old and young alike in their people's past.

Personal Statement
I have been a successful tutor for over ten years specializing in SAT and PSAT preparation and in all aspects of language arts including reading comprehension, grammar, and essay and term paper writing. SAT and PSAT tutees have consistently achieved 75-100 point gains. Libraries throughout CT (including New Haven, Wallingford, East Haven, Cheshire, and Bethany) have acknowledged these successes by repeatedly selecting me as presenter of library-sponsored SAT preparation seminars. Tutoring language arts has produced results which are equally striking. Students have improved three or more grade levels in all aspects, including reading comprehension, essay, and term paper writing. These successes as well as extraordinarily positive references from parents, students, teachers, and school principals are set forth in my website: www.*** . I urge the reader to check them out. I am hugely proud of them. I pride myself in bringing out the best in my tutees, in making them feel valued and respected. They reciprocate those feelings and become both challenged and motivated. The results show it. My education speaks for itself: Trinity College (BA, CUM LAUDE), University of Pennsylvania Law School (JURIS DOCTOR). I am also the author of books published by prestigious companies. Education means everything to me. Our work together becomes a successful collaboration. I look forward to meeting you and working with you!

I am currently a full time college student seeking a Bachelor's degree in History with a Secondary Teacher Certification. During the summer I work with children from ages 5-15 supervising recreational and educational activities and events. My family is full of educators so school is and always will be my number one priority. I love helping others grow mentally. When I'm not working or going to school, I tutor my younger family members that are between the ages 3 - 14. I can work with any learning style!

Hello, I am a college student with a huge interest in history. I want to help others enjoy learning about history in a fun and interesting way, where the student gets to interact with history and really get to retain the knowledge I teach. I went to Loudoun County High School, and currently attend the Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA). My main fields of historical expertise are Ancient Rome, the Middle Ages, the American Civil War, and World War II. I am also very good at retaining dates of historical events and names of people/places of historical importanec. My goal is to help people struggling with dates, people, information, etc. and helping them strategize new ways of making history a fun and interesting subject.

Hi! My name's T, I'm a college student studying to be a teacher. I love teaching, learning, and helping others. My hours and rates are fairly flexible and open to discussion. I've been tutoring since I was in eighth grade, but officially I'd put it around 2-3 years ago. I make lesson plans, worksheets, study guides - whatever you or your child need to succeed! I also like to keep both the student and parent updated on progress, assignments, and anything important I notice. I look forward to working with you!

As far as it comes to general education: I've been there, and I've done that. Having said that, I'd like to denote the absolute importance of true learning and actual knowledge of a subject - something that is difficult to ascertain in a classroom where you are simply going through the motions of socialisation.
So if you're looking to cut through the mundane and get a deeper understanding of some material, or if you're looking for someone to help you game the system to turn busy work into light work - then I'm your guy.
Also, don't be discouraged by the thought that I won't be able to translate the material well to someone that isn't accustomed to AP classes, rather, consider it like so: I can help provide that deeper "AP analysis and understanding" without all of the "rigor", or rather, all the busy work, cramming material, www.*** it as getting a taste of an AP experience through a much friendlier, understanding, and eloquent medium that has seen what works and what doesn't work in terms of teaching students, and can therefore pick and choose the good from the bad to help you make sense of the www.*** said that, here are some of my credentials:I've taken 11 APs throughout my high school career:-AP Economics (5/4)-AP Lang and Comp (5)-AP Calc BC (3)-AP Physics 1 (3)-AP US History (5)-AP Psych (4)-AP Lit and Comp (-)-AP Comp Sci A (-)-AP Statistics (-)-AP Physics C (-)-AP French Lang (-)I have a 97(dot)91/100 weighted GPA, which translates in practicality to a 4(dot) www.*** seems this website censors dots as websites, which is a bit odd.

I have always been interested and passionate about history. I had my nose stuck in my history book in fifth grade and have loved learning about how our world has gotten where it is today. My senior year of high school I had five AP history courses and passed all five exams with a max score on two, Government and European History, and fours on the rest. I had graduated high school with my first two years of my undergraduate degree. I currently am a Political Science student at UCF and will be graduating in 2019. I have tutored my classmates in history starting my junior year in American History, and have helped my peers in everything from World History all the way through my American Presidency course at UCF this semester. I have been certified by AP exams as very qualified(A rating of 4) in World History, American History, Macro Economics, Micro Economics, and extremely qualified (A five rating) in American Government and European History.
