I'm very passionate about helping more students with their subjects and I'm very eager to devote my time working as a tutor. I will keep my attention on finding the ways to explain concepts that are best suitable to a student. I've been tutoring all STEM subjects since my junior highschool and it turned out that the results of my tutoring were very good as all my students had a much better understanding of course concepts and become more efficient in solving problems. If you choose me to help you in any subjects listed, I promise I will not let you down because I have confidence in myself and I have confidence in every student who comes to find me.
For online tutoring: Zoom is preferred.

The Galveston Math Tutor
Tutor, Teacher, Instructor
|
I was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada but moved to Texas with my family right after graduatinhigh school and attended Dallas Baptist University the following year. I completed my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mathematics in 3 years with a cumulative GPA of 3,942 and immediately started teaching. I started my first year teaching in a large public school in inner-city Dallas but after a few months decided that it wasn't a good fit for me. So I packed my things and headed to Fusion Academy Dallas, a unique 1-1 private school where understanding the student's physical, emotional, social and academic needs is key. I completely agreed with their one-on-one, personalized teaching approach and thoroughly enjoyed my time there because I got to build real, authentic relationships with the students and mentor them while teaching them my favorite subject matter. So how did I end up in Galveston, you might ask? Well, my husband is going to medical school at UTMB in the fall, so we moved to this beautiful island paradise and I am striking out on my own. If you are looking for a tutor who not only knows their stuff inside and out, but also cares about who students are as a person and how they are doing emotionally, mentally, socially and academically, give me a call. My tutoring programs are uniquely tailored to each student based on their strengths and weaknesses and are guaranteed to give your student the advantage they need to be successful!

Hi!! I'm Juliana and I specialize in english and math! I can tutor for Spanish as well, in the IB programme we are required to take at least 4 years of it but I took 5! I want to make learning a fun experience for everyone I come into contact with; even if it is just to fill a student with wonder about all the mysteries of the world, that would be enough for me. I say this because: for students to excell, they must find passion within knowledge. There's something wrong with our education system, we've starved it; it remains hungry for passionate seekers of knowledge. That's what I hope to spread by tutoring.

I worked as a tutor in the past year in my community college before I transferred to Illinois Institute of Technology. I teach Calculus 1,2 and 3 and college level physics 1 and 2
Many students these days miss out on various important concepts in a plethora of subjects, thinking they might cover it later or go visit youtube educational videos sometime, as I am a college student myself, I know how surreal that concept is. I can minimize or end that fatal gap of confusion and procastination by helping students clear doubts and understand concepts in an easy, convinient and methodical way, which not only will help them in the long run but might also go along the way and spark an interest in the subject.

To many, the sound of Math is synonymous with TOUGH, but through my learning development and experience, I discovered that math can become fun if basic concepts that are fundamental to the building blocks are well www.*** is where I make my students evolve with confidence and motivated by guiding them through this understanding till they achieve self-reliance and become math gurus. I have my bachelors in Electrical Engineering, and currently a masters candidate in Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, hence I am well grounded in www.*** have taken several students in the past in math (SAT math, GRE math, elementary math, algebra, calculus etc) who never believed they could stop struggling with math, they eventually move from C students to B and eventually A. You will be amazed what pace you can progress with your math skill after a short time of tutoring with www.*** 't hesitate to grab an opportunity to be better in math where you need help, let me know where you are currently and we can move on from there by preparing a structured approach tailored to help build you up. I attend Reinhardt University as a full time dual enrollment student. My grades are wonderful seeing as I have a 3. 8 gpa that is going to boost soon and a 30 on my act which I am trying to improve. I try really hard with anything academic so even if I forget something I will not stop until I rediscover it. Many comment on how mature and responsible I am for my age. Math is my strong suit as I currently have a 102 in college pre-calculus. Sciences (especially biology) are really easy for me also . I am 100% confident in having the ability to effectively tutor. I will charge $30/hour, and I will charge half off the first lesson.

I am a high school senior with almost 4 years of experience as an in-home tutor of general mathematics! The last 2 years, I have had the privilege of assisting a teacher at Reed Middle School and Fellowship Christian Academy. The previous year, during which I assisted in the development of differential instruction and facilitated the learning of basic mathematical concepts targeted at 6th to 8th graders, I also frequently assisted teachers in explaining concepts and always attempted to find new relevant perspectives that students could understand and better remember. Additionally, last year, as a National Honors Society (NHS) tutor, I expanded my versatility by tutoring students from the 9th to the 12th grade in math and science. I taught students in everything from basic math to advanced math, including the SAT (I scored in the 99 pecercentile) and Calculus, and have taught various sciences, including Physics and Chemistry, both in a classroom and home setting. Furthermore, because I regularly instruct teenagers and young adults, I am proficient in the use of various mediums, including online platforms and teaching techniques such as mnemonics and visuals.
As a tutor and young adult, I aspire to reignite the long lost passion for learning. As such, I communicate with students individually and create specialized plans that maximize efficiency. In addition, I have access to a plethora of reputable resources that students retain access to long after my tutoring has ended. I aim to impart to students, in detail, the different ways I have achieved success, inside and outside the classroom and provide channels to make a difference, academically and otherwise!
