My name is Malika G.! I am currently an elementary school teacher in the Houston area! My passion is teaching and working with kids. I have tremendous experience with children. My first job was a swim instructor where I gave swim lessons to all ages. I then became a Dance Instructor where I taught Bollywood dance to children ages 5-15. I was also a Montessori teacher for 2 years and was responsible for children ages 0-5 years. In addition to all of this, I am the eldest out of my cousins and siblings in my family and have pretty much taken up responsibility of helping care for them since a very young age. I look forward to helping your child achieve your academic goals and am excited to see how much they can learn and grow! :)

Hello,
I have been tutoring Math for over 14 years for various grades: Middle School, High School, and College. Math is a wonderful subject once you understand it. My primary objective is to help you love Math and enjoy it. Once that is established, nothing will stop you from excelling at Math.
Diplomas: I hold a PhD in Wireless Communications, MS in Telecommunications, and BS in Electrical Engineering.
Tutoring Methods: My tutoring methods involve direct engagement with the student to make sure he/she is really understanding what I am explaining. I always try to provide real life scenarios where certain formulas are applied. This approach helps the student remember the equation or even reconstruct it again based on the scenarios discussed. Everything in Math is applied in our daily life but we are unaware of it because we do not pay attention to it but that does not mean it does not exist. After most sessions, I assign few problems for the student to work on them at home before our next session (these assignments could be chosen from the textbook or I could formulate them myself). This method affirms student understanding of the subjects covered.
Guarantees: I can guarantee you that if you follow the steps I pass onto you and do your homework assigned to you, I have no doubt that you will not only pass the class but also end up with an A. That's based on experience and not talk.

I love math and children. My love for math started when I was eight when my family and I moved to Texas. I loved the math rallies. As years when by, my love for math kept growing and every year I was even more anxious than the year before to see what else was out there to learn. By the time I was in college there wasn't anything I loved more than having my cup of coffee and my big binder filled with math problems and just cracking my head over them. I found great pleasure in finding a solution and even a greater one in not being able to solve them. I loved the head-scratching, the headaches and of course finding the solution and understanding the problem at the end. I was not able to graduate as I took a job promotion as a general manager which took up much of my time and also got married. My love for children started when I first looked at my little brother, Leonardo. He's now my little math genius which I think sounds awesome! Since then, my views on children changed completely. I really believe kids are the future and the purest things on earth. They should be loved and educated. Each kid is different, each kid has different strenghts and weaknesses, and each kid is capable of greatness. I belive in teaching in way each kid is always motivated and confident. Seeing kids succeed and grow and become awesome people brings joy to my heart. There's nothing I enjoy doing more than spending time with children and even better teaching them a subject i feel so passionate about.

I am a 20 year old college student currently pursuing a degree in Health Sciences at Purdue Univeristy. I graduated high school in 2018 with a 4. 0 GPA. I plan to attend medical school when I complete my undergraduate studies. I am seeking to aid those in need of academic assistance. Whether that be homework help, tutoring in a specific subject, providing study materials, etc. The subjects I have listed on my profile are all subjects that I have completed courses in with in A either in high school, college, or both. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions! I would prefer to work online through video chat or other methods, but if you live within walking or biking distance of me (or a public place you'd like to meet at) I am more than willing to do that as well!
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, being active, and serving at my church. I am very passionate about missions and hope to one day live abroad as a missionary using my medical skills to serve. I spent the last two summers living in Haiti working with a mission in the northwest zone. I had planned to do so this summer, but with COVID-19 was not able to do so. Thus, I am looking to work this summer.
I look forward to getting to know you and hopefully assist you with whatever you may need!

My intellectual curiosity, love of learning, and desire to positively impact the lives of others ultimately lead me into the field of education. I believe that the purpose of education is to equip an individual with the necessary tools to problem solve, effectively communicate, and think critically. The quality of education that children receive in their early years is pivotal to their development and success later in life.
I am currently working as a Kindergarten teacher in an inclusive classroom for Baltimore City Public Schools. I hold two Maryland Educator Certificates, in Elementary Education and Special Education. In May 2016, I completed the Master of Arts in Teaching program at Johns Hopkins University. I also have experience working with students with Autism and other special needs.
I believe that as a teacher, I contribute to the development of dynamic and engaging learning environments for students. I look forward to working with your child/student!

Hello!
My name is Bridget! I was born and raised in Breckenridge, CO, so I love to play outside and go on adventures. I am a student at CSU, where I am studying to get my degree in Biology. I am on the pre-med track, so I am very interested in the sciences. Because of the craziness, my classes are fully online, which enables me to have a lot of free time. Hopefully, I can use this extra time to help out those struggling in these crazy times. I graduated . I also have my Red cross-certificate in first aid and I am fully certified to be a nurse assistant. My hours are extremely flexible to what you need most! Since I am a student I know what learning techniques work for me and others. I can relate to needing an extra nudge with some subjects. Thank you for coming to my tutor profile! My name is Zack, and I am a tutor that specializes in Mathematics, Science, and Writing. I aspire to be an astrophysicist at NASA, but tutoring is something I will never give up! Learning is a very important part of life, but it is equally as important in the educational system. However, it is very frustrating to not be able to comprehend subjects and also not knowing what resources you can take advantage of. We've all been there before; you are not alone!!! That is where I come in. I find there to be nothing more enjoyable than guiding people of all different ethnicities, cultures, and educational history to success. The joy of seeing people grow while tutoring is one of the main reasons I decided to start in the first place. As your tutor, I will work with you to help you have a better, more in-depth understanding of the subject(s) in which you struggle with. It is my goal as a tutor to help you achieve your personal goals, and to find the most constructive way to teach you based upon your learning style and what feels right for you!
