Being a tutor and a supplemental instruction leader for the past three years (at Student Center for Academic Achievement) and going to monthly training meetings, I have learned to quickly get the tutee comfortable and gauge their needs to tailor a specific way of tutoring. I believe in challenging yourself and understanding the core basic concepts. I take this same friendly yet motivated attitude to my tutoring sessions to help students achieve their goals academically. Through experience, training, and being a student myself, I have a good grasp at study schedule management and know the importance of different learning tools. Tutoring is a passion of mine and I plan each session ahead of time to cater the student's needs such that the student can get the most out of each session. I'm a fun-loving and confident person who believes that learning should be fun and so I try to make each session interesting. What I love most about tutoring is that both the tutor and the tutee learn during each session and help each other grow. I love to help students achieve their goals and the spark they have once they grasp a concept.
I have had an interest in science since I was 8 years old. I always read on recent research papers since high school. What makes me a good science tutor is the experience as both: a tutor and a student. As a student I know how to study for science topics and how to knit all the things we learn in this subject together. During my undergraduate, I was able to get an A on every science class and graduate as a Summa Cum Laude along with got great reviews from my tutees. I believe that each person has a different perspective and I tailor my tutoring technique to that perspective as well as add a newer one.

I am currently a Biology major at the University of Wyoming Casper. I work part-time in the microbiology department as a lab intern. We are currently studying the phenomenon antibiotic resistance. Along with my internship, I am also currently a Teaching Assistant (TA) in the microbiology department and have worked as a TA in the biology department as well. TAing requires a certain level of knowledge and tutoring skills as we are responsible for grading work and helping students with labs and studying. I love working with students to improve their knowledge on a subject! I love science and I love sharing the knowledge I have - if sharing what I know helps a student succeed in a subject, it's even better!
I am currently a 4th year Biology major. That being said i have taken an extensive amount of science courses since beginning college. A few of classes I have taken and performed well in are: General Biology, Animal Biology, Bioethics, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Gross Anatomy, Genetics, and Anthropology. All of these classes are very different from one another but also fit together nicely when looking at "the big picture." I thoroughly enjoyed these classes and love passing the knowledge I have gotten from them on to others!
I love my major and the classes that I am taking! I would love to help you discover useful tools to help make learning these subjects easier and more enjoyable! My subjects listed are very broad, but I am willing to do specialty tutoing in any of the classes as I have listed above. My pricing is per hour is also negotiable. Please contact me have any questions or would like more information on what I can offer!

My educational background is a soon-to-be completed Bachelor's degree in Biology. During my tenure at the University of Central Florida, I participated in undergraduate research for a little over a year, where I recieved important hands-on working experience in a genomics lab throughout that time. As a direct result of this combined experience, I have developed a level of comprehension across some of these multiple biological fields, experience which should be sufficient enough to help tutor others in need of help. For some, the rigorous details and the necessary principles of biology may be difficult to understand; given time and the proper resources, I am gladly interested in providing whatever help I can!
