I have worked in my private practice and I have been a teacher of sexual education in a college of Primary, Secondary and High School. I was a professor of integral "Development of the person" and "formation of values" in the University of Santo Tomas. I was working in Washington, D . I don't have any Spanish certificate that proves my knowledge, but I was born in Madrid (Spain) and I lived there until 2013. I currently live in Long Beach with my family and we're all from Spain so I speak Spanish every day. I go back three times a year and I love my country so I'd love if my students learned to love it too. I'm a very outgoing person and I have lots of patience. I'm majoring in film so if you hire me as your tutor I'll for sure recommend you a bunch of Spanish movies and TV series that you should watch ;)

I am Peruvian, 27 years old, currently in Massachusetts, studying English and equipping myself to start my Master of Business Administration (MBA) the next September 2018. I hold a Bachelor degree in Maritime Science and a title of Port and Maritime Administrator. Apart from my business approach, I have always been concerned about children. I graduated from Southern Adventist University December 2018 with a bachelors in elementary education non licensure. Right now, I work as a substitute teacher in Cleveland tn. I love spending time helping children with homework assignments, playing, and talking to them. During college two of my classes required me to tutor children that were struggling in reading and math. I would make my own materials to help them understand concepts better.

Hi, I’m Colleen!
I recently graduated cum laude from Princeton with a BA in Sociology. I'm open to traditional tutoring for grades 3-12 as well as providing oversight while your kids partake in virtual schooling. I'm patient and willing to try a variety of different approaches, as I understand that we don't all learn the same way!
Details:
-One-on-one or groups up to 3. I can work directly your child, or can instead provide oversight and guidance as they navigate distanced learning.
-I believe communication is important! I’ll provide informal written progress reports to parents every few weeks so that we’re on the same page.
-Open to virtual tutoring on the platform of your choice. If you’re in or near Capitol Hill, Seattle and think in-person tutoring would be best, let’s talk-- maybe we can come up with a safe arrangement!
-My schedule is flexible!
About me:
When I was in third grade, I delighted in creating homework packets for my younger sister and parents. Now, I am a recent Princeton grad with a major in Sociology and a minor in Spanish Language & Culture. I have experience tutoring one-on-one lower-level math (fifth and ninth grade), and always loved watching a concept finally click when we drew a visual representation of the problem together. I have also volunteered as a homework helper for an after-school program in which I worked across a variety of subjects, mostly with first and fifth graders, and have mentored a local eighth grader through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Related experience involves living with a three-year old (who honestly tutored ME in Spanish) when I studied abroad two years ago, and facilitating entry into college life for first-year Princeton students through guided conversations and community service as an orientation leader.

I have 12 years of experience as a teacher and tutor. I believe in finding new and innovative methods of teaching to help students succeed. Each student is unique and what may work for one may not work for another, that is why I take my time to ensure I prepare lessons that are appropriate for each student individually that will help him/her develop the skills needed to improve in class. I have experience working with different age groups and with students with learning disabilities. I have a passion for teaching. I believe every student has the ability to succeed. Sometimes we just need the extra help and someone to care and believe in us to show us the way. I want to continue to be that person for students, someone they can lean on, and help them in their journey to success.

Hello!
My name is Bridget! I was born and raised in Breckenridge, CO, so I love to play outside and go on adventures. I am a student at CSU, where I am studying to get my degree in Biology. I am on the pre-med track, so I am very interested in the sciences. Because of the craziness, my classes are fully online, which enables me to have a lot of free time. Hopefully, I can use this extra time to help out those struggling in these crazy times. I graduated . I also have my Red cross-certificate in first aid and I am fully certified to be a nurse assistant. My hours are extremely flexible to what you need most! Since I am a student I know what learning techniques work for me and others. I can relate to needing an extra nudge with some subjects. My energy and passion for learning help me as a tutor to keep kids engaged and learn in new ways.

Hi, I am Lesslie M., I graduated with my Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland. What I love about tutoring is that you can really affect the way a student feels about a subject, when they start understanding more about the subject, they will want to learn more. My goal while tutoring in Math is to get back my students' confidence in their ability to succeed in Math. I will usually work with the curriculum the students are using in their school and before we start working in any homework, we go over the relevant topics for the homework and I always try to connect the topic with something practical they will remember. I was born and raised in Ecuador. While tutoring my students in Spanish I help them pronounce words correctly and teach phrases that are actually used in daily conversations since Spanish is my native language. Hope to hear from you soon.
