Although I am studying stage management and directing at my university, I have been trained in Acting and Musical Theatre for four years at a preforming arts highschool in Tampa, Florida. I can prepare any student who wants to ace their audition whether it be with a monologue or song. I know about the theatre business as well as how to create a proper resume for this business. I am currently a college student at Utah State University on scholarship as I work towards my masters in Deaf Elementary Education with a minor in Child Psychology. I love working with kids and teens and have a passion for teaching. I have tutored at an elementary Deaf and Hard of Hearing school in Mesa Arizona using just ASL to communicate. I have also received an award for top student in my ASL skill in high school. I have a passion for this language, culture, and community. I may be young but give me a chance to prove myself with first lesson free! I can't wait to meet you and help you learn so much about ASL and the Deaf community.

My name is Alex Rehman! I have tutored in the past at a business in Turner, Oregon called Shine Timez Tutoring and Community Design Studio.
I am comfortable tutoring in a variety of subjects along with helping with homework. I am willing to help a student with anything they need to know or need to get done during our tutoring sessions. If I don't know a student's subject, I am willing to learn any material for the next tutoring session.
Unfortunately, my schedule isn't very flexible as I am currently working around my classes. I am willing to work with someone more than one time a week.
In terms of what I am comfortable teaching, I can teach most English topics. For math, I am the most comfortable with algebra one or lower but I have taken math up to Calculus AB and I am willing to review material before tutoring any student in the www.*** ;

I have been studying music since 1981. I started learning music as every American child does (did) in Kindergarten. However, I may have been the unusual child, learning music. There was never a moment I stopped learning or practicing what I had learned. I started playing the Bb Clarinet in Beginning Band in the Forth grade (1986). In Fifth grade, I was promoted to Intermediate Band on Bb Clarinet (1987). In Sixth Grade, I was promoted into Advanced Band on Bb Clarinet (1988). By the time I was graduating from elementary school, upon the interview I had with the band direcor from the Junior High, I was invited to enroll in Symphonic Band. However, when I was promoted into Junior High, I wasn't able to get into Symphonic band, as I had hoped. The period I was offered to play in band was during the Beginning Band hour. So, I started playing the Flute in Seventh grade (1989). By the end of Seventh grade, I was awarded a letter. In Eigth grade, I was able to enroll back into Advanced Band on Flute (1990), again due to the availability in class scheduling. By the end of My Juinor High studies, I was again invited to enroll in Symphonic Band by the Highschool band director. However, in 1991, when I was promoted to Nineth grade. The only band hour I was offered to take was Beginning Band (again). This time I took up the Tenor Saxophone. By the end of my Tenth grade (1993), I was once again invited to enroll in Symphonic band by the new school band director. However, I started taking business classes the remaining two years of highschool (1994-1995). Although, I discontinued studying music in school, I continued self teaching and playing every day since. I started learning violin in 1996. In 2014 I joined my church's orchestra (2014). I have been staying current and conditioning my skills.

I would love to work with your child! I have 18 years of experience as a special education teacher and 13 as the mom of a child with high functioning autism. I can understand your struggles from multiple angles. I am a creative educator who uses data to drive my instruction and often think outside of the box when instructing students. I also utilize visuals a lot in my instruction and really enjoy working with students who just need additional time and attention to understand subjects.

I am from California, and I took the California High School Proficiency Exam in my sophomore year, leaving high school that same year and starting college. I have not completed college due to not actually knowing what I want to pursue long-term. I do, however, have a passion for English, - grammar and sentence structure are something I enjoy putting my time into - and I have been helping people around me with their own English classes for years. I have never recieved lower than a B grade on an essay, and my proofreading has helped my friends and family to achieve higher grades. I am also an award winning artist. My medium of choice is pencil or acrylic paint. I have been drawing since i was four years old and have not stopped since. I am proficient in American Sign Language, and English is my native language.

I'm Ashley! I graduated Cum Laude from UCSD with a Bachelors's degree in Media Arts and a minor in Language Studies with a focus on American Sign Language. I have been tutoring English and ASL for the last five years and absolutely love helping students overcome their insecurities or fears in a subject that they struggle in. I have worked with all kinds of students from young elementary to adults learning English as a second language and have learned that every student learns differently, so I'm always excited to figure out how best to structure lessons or the way I explain material in order to help them to succeed!
I'm a very patient person, easy to talk to, and am always willing to go out of my way to provide extra help if needed. I'm a film major, not an English teacher, but I tutor because I love watching students gain confidence in a subject that they struggle in. Whether it's grasping a new element of material or moving up a reading level, I get just as excited as they do.
I am an ASL minor and have been signing for eight years. I absolutely love the language and am always excited to see new students choosing to learn it! At UCSD I helped found and was on the board of the ASL club which provided free tutoring sessions, homework help, and conversation practice for ASL students that needed extra help or wanted to improve their fluency. I also volunteered for a program on campus called Language Conversation Tables which allowed students to practice their language skills or learn a new language from their peers.
I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible and therefore welcome any resources or suggestions that students or parents can provide. I am easy to reach and will always provide quick responses. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!
