***DOING ONLINE LESSONS ONLY*** I have Masters in Maths and I am Former Head of Mathematics of a high achieving school. I have been teaching and tutoring for the past 20+ years. I teach Math up to AP level and have had great results always. I have also been an examiner for UK International and OCR examination boards for Math exams. The best part of my job is making Maths enjoyable and accessible to my students. It is hugely rewarding when your students achieve their potential grades and progress to the next stage of their academic life. I am very passionate about my subject. Before teaching, I worked as a Senior Analyst Programmer in a Software house specialising in Banking software. Please note that I only tutor online as I need all my resources to deliver a lesson that meets my expectation and yours!

Hi, I'm Daniel.
I'm a full-time educator here on TutorExtra. I have a degree in Business Economics (from UCLA) with a minor in Accounting.
I specialize in two fields. One is in helping college students with their coursework in Accounting, Finance, and Economics. The second is in exam preparation for highschool students (SATs & APs). I've taught a whole range of subjects though so feel free to check out my credentials in my profile.
Here's a little background about myself. I've worked at a Big 4 Accounting firm, but am now pursuing my passion of teaching full-time. My approach to teaching is unique-- I specialize in helping students understand difficult concepts by providing personable examples and explanations catered specifically to each of them. There hasn't been a single concept that any of my students haven't been able to understand, and the 30+ students I've taught have all told me that my style is very effective and unique.
My teaching philosophy extends beyond just getting through the material--I teach students how to study, prepare for exams, solve exam questions, and maintain/achieve a high GPA. I expect highly of my students to work with me rigorously and, in the long term, develop great studying habits that are prevalent in all high-achieving students.
If my lesson is not satisfactory, I will ensure a money-back guarantee on the first lesson, so please reach out without hesitation.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.

I've been a private tutor for the past 15 years and spent a year training as a Princeton review educator when I was a student at Princeton University (I graduated from the university in 1994). I work with students from kindergarten to adulthood and enjoy tailoring my approach to address each student's concerns and goals. I frequently look to have my students play an active role in uncovering the strategies that works best for them, thinking of them as a member of a two person team. I strive to have my students, whatever age, feel both supported and challenged during our sessions while giving them the tools to feel confident when I'm not around.

I like to use personal experiences and tools for helping students both study, learn, do homework, and prepare. I am more than willing to help create study tools and work with you to help you with how you learn best. When it comes to AP prep for psychology and European history I have taken and passed both exams in recent years and understand the format and can give study tips and test-taking tips for these exams.
