Hi again! I just wanted to let you get to know a little about me. My previous experience with children started with my younger brother who is now 15. He opened the world to me helping other students with their school work. In 2010, I volunteered at a local Jewish Sunday school working with children ages 5 through 12. I was an assistant teacher for two years. After that, I started volunteering at a camp that was dedicated towards children who are along the Autism Spectrum. Spring 2015 I was an intern at Jemicy Lower school which focuses on working with childrne who have learning disabilities like dyslexia. I loved working with children. In 2015 after I graduated from high school, I went to Frostburg State University and went for a degree in early childhood education. Since then I have obtained a cosmetology license from Robert Paul Academy, and graduated from the Community College of Baltimore County with my Associates degree. I have been accepted into Stevenson University to obtain a degree in Finance. I love working with students and doing math. During this pandemic I have graduated, and am currently helping my 10th grade younger brother with his school work. I want to take the time I have available and help others in need.

As a Lead Tutor for the TRiO Student Services Program, I learned about effective communication and how language significantly impacts my connection with peers. My responsibilities as a Lead tutor included tutoring students in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Calculus. I was also able to conduct out-reach, develop personalized tutoring material for students, and meet with fellow program tutors to review tutoring curricula and common challenges experienced by students. In addition to that, I participated in class visits to educate students on available learning resources and completed individual projects to improve the tutoring system.
Growing up with nine siblings provided me the opportunity to exhibit my love for teaching through them. In earning my High School Diploma and an Associates degree, I found numerous possibilities to volunteer/work as a tutor at my local library and college campus. I tutored math, up to calculus, and some science courses during my time with TRIO SSS. I've also worked as a mathematics tutor at the Math Resource Center on campus. I have been studying music since 1981. I started learning music as every American child does (did) in Kindergarten. However, I may have been the unusual child, learning music. There was never a moment I stopped learning or practicing what I had learned. I started playing the Bb Clarinet in Beginning Band in the Forth grade (1986). In Fifth grade, I was promoted to Intermediate Band on Bb Clarinet (1987). In Sixth Grade, I was promoted into Advanced Band on Bb Clarinet (1988). By the time I was graduating from elementary school, upon the interview I had with the band direcor from the Junior High, I was invited to enroll in Symphonic Band. However, when I was promoted into Junior High, I wasn't able to get into Symphonic band, as I had hoped. The period I was offered to play in band was during the Beginning Band hour. So, I started playing the Flute in Seventh grade (1989). By the end of Seventh grade, I was awarded a letter. In Eigth grade, I was able to enroll back into Advanced Band on Flute (1990), again due to the availability in class scheduling. By the end of My Juinor High studies, I was again invited to enroll in Symphonic Band by the Highschool band director. However, in 1991, when I was promoted to Nineth grade. The only band hour I was offered to take was Beginning Band (again). This time I took up the Tenor Saxophone. By the end of my Tenth grade (1993), I was once again invited to enroll in Symphonic band by the new school band director. However, I started taking business classes the remaining two years of highschool (1994-1995). Although, I discontinued studying music in school, I continued self teaching and playing every day since. I started learning violin in 1996. In 2014 I joined my church's orchestra (2014). I have been staying current and conditioning my skills.

Growing up in the public school system, I realized its greatest fault is an apathy towards learning.
