My name is Pieter. I am 22 years old and just began my job as a Research Technician in a biology laboratory at the Tufts University School of Medicine where I am doing genetics research on mouse models of cancer, MS and other autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. I am using cutting edge technologies in order to perform gene editing to try to address the causes of these diseases. I have long been interested in biological research. Over the past 5 years, I have worked in 5 different laboratories at the Yale University School of Medicine, Bowdoin College, Unviersity of Canterbury (Christchurch, NZ), and the Tufts University School of Medicine. I am very passionate about science in general, particularly biology, genetics and chemistry. I am a very organized, diligent and motivated worker and my research has been published in top-tier professional journals multiple times. Additionally, I have a strong passion for teaching and tutoring. I have been tutoring for the past 8 years in a variety of different ways. Throughout middle school and high school, I volunteered several hours every week to tutoring elementary school students with their homework in all subjects. During my four years at Bowdoin College, I worked for Upward Bound and tutored impoverished and underpriveleged students at all of the nearby high schools in all subjects. If you would like references, I would be more than happy to provide them. Now that I have begun working in Boston, I would love to continue tutoring and help students of any age. I would be willing to teach different aspects of a subject, help with homework, and/or give general advice (studying, SAT/ACT prep, applying for college, etc). I will try to instill a passion for science in any student I tutor. In addition to science, I would be happy to tutor in mathematics and statistics as I have much experience in doing so through my Upward Bound job. I do not have a car, but would be willing to come to your house if it isn't too far on public transit. If not, I would also be happy to meet in a public place or at my home. I am willing to tutor any day of the week from 6pm-9pm, or on weekends anytime in the afternoon or evening. Please reach out to me at ***@*** if you have any questions at all or would like to arrange a phone call or video chat!

Basic Math, Java, and Math lessons in Weymouth, MA, USA.
Through my studies (high school, jobs, and undergrad) i've learned everything from critical public speaking and acting skills, to the mastery of math, science, and english. I speak the slightest amount of Spanish, but am learning more every day. I used to work in San Francisco's Exploratorium Museum where I concreted my understanding of other's learning styles and how to properly commnicate information to my student while doing demonstrations like dissecting cow eyes, exploring the inner ear, compost, lasers, and more! I then worked at an intensive summer camp, and gained more exposure to kids. Through the years I have been informally tutoring my many family and friends. I understand that school is hard, but I love to inspire my students with my passion, energy, knowledge, critical thinking, and communication skills. I have also been a proffessionally trained singer since the age of 6 (I am now 19), first in opera, then in musical theatre, and now in soul, pop, and rnb. Finally, I attended a specialized arts high school and graduated with a concentration in theatre-- we did everything from playwriting to shakespeare, modern dance, voice training, and monologues/scene work. I hope to speak with you soon about whatever you or someone close to you may need help with!

Hi ! I'm Liyah! I am a elementary, kindergarten, and middle school tutor. My rate is 15-20 dollars depending on the level and subject. I have many references, and am online via zoom. My goal as a tutor is to help students gain better understanding of confusing concepts, and to create a safe space within our community. I communicate with parents on their child's progress, and use multiple platforms for easy lesson plans such as google classroom, jamboard, email, and remind. I completely understand that not every child's learning style is the same. I accommodate to each and every student because everyone is different. Some forms of teaching I use are projects, worksheets, interactive games, videos, and more. I would love to work with your child(ren) to insure they can be successful!
I spent 2 years tutoring community college students at the RCC tutoring center, in addition to tutoring high school students privately. At the tutoring center, I helped students that ran along a wide spectrum in Math aptitudes - from adult students studying remedial Math, to advanced high schoolers learning Calculus at the local Community College. I also have experience tutoring Algebra-based Physics at Rockland Community College, and Calculus-based E&M at MIT, where I TA'd for MIT's freshman E&M course, 8,02.
Hi there! I'm a sophomore in college and have been tutoring kids since I was 16. I ended up building relationships with the individuals I worked with and looking forward to our sessions! There's something incredibly satisfying about being able to share a breakthrough moment with someone and knowing you've impacted their www.*** ;

I acted as a coach to my speech and debate team and still coach them once in a while along with judging at tournaments. Furthermore, I was involved extensively in the theater department and in fact transcribed a book into a play that was put on by my high school. At my time at Northeastern I have interned for barbershop and was in charge of designing and writing content for their lifestyle blog. The company was called Mobile Cuts and I worked closely with the owner. In addition, this past semester I was working at Brigham and Women's Hospital in the dermatology department as a medical scribe. In the coming spring semester I will be focusing on pursuing my interest in film and will hopefully be an intern at Film Posse, one of the main production companies in Boston for historical documentaries.

In terms of travel, I am currently living in Roxbury on Columbus Ave which is on the Northeastern campus. I can travel by public transportation or do online sessions. I am flexible with my schedule and will put all my effort into improving the knowledge and skills of anyone I am tutoring.
While I have had a lot of success in school I certainly have struggled with procrastination, time management, and motivation when it comes to completing my school work. However, I had people around me that were able to encourage me and I was able to find the drive to pursue the best future possible for myself. I have always been determined to share the lessons I have learned with anyone who can benefit from them because while you can't live a child's life for them you can give them the right tools to be as successful as possible and be the best version of themselves.
I hope I can be the right fit for you.
