Tyler L. is the founder and principal instructor of Examine It Tutoring Services, which works in and around the various boroughs of New York. Examine It works with a wide range of students, all with unique educational backgrounds. We focus on developing a student’s problem solving ability rather than content memorization.
Tyler is a former environmental engineer at Air Pollution Characterization & Control. APCC is based out of Hermon, ME and focuses on air pollution compliance testing for industrial facilities. While there, he learned importance of applying abstract engineering concepts to real life and often irregular situations. He also learned the value of problem solving in real time and conveys that importance to his current students.
Tyler graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maine with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a Mathematics minor. He currently resides in Manhattan.

I have been tutoring Math for over 14 years for various grades: Middle School, High School, and College. Math is a wonderful subject once you understand it. My primary objective is to help you love Math and enjoy it. Once that is established, nothing will stop you from excelling at Math.
Diplomas: I hold a PhD in Wireless Communications, MS in Telecommunications, and BS in Electrical Engineering.
Tutoring Methods: My tutoring methods involve direct engagement with the student to make sure he/she is really understanding what I am explaining. I always try to provide real life scenarios where certain formulas are applied. This approach helps the student remember the equation or even reconstruct it again based on the scenarios discussed. Everything in Math is applied in our daily life but we are unaware of it because we do not pay attention to it but that does not mean it does not exist. After most sessions, I assign few problems for the student to work on them at home before our next session (these assignments could be chosen from the textbook or I could formulate them myself). This method affirms student understanding of the subjects covered.
Guarantees: I can guarantee you that if you follow the steps I pass onto you and do your homework assigned to you, I have no doubt that you will not only pass the class but also end up with an A. That's based on experience and not talk.
Hi Students and Professionals, I would like to invite you to work with me because I am a highly qualified instructor, teacher and adjunct professor. My GPA for undergrad is 4 point 2 out of 5 and 4 point 6 out of 5 for grad school and I have won a number of awards. I have been teaching for over 15 years and I have taught over 400 students and professionals. I have over 5 years of cumulative teaching experience. Connect with me and let us have fun working together.
I am a passionate math teacher who loves to watch students excel. My main focus is to ensure that the students I interact with gain the skills needed to make learning easier. The greatest struggle I see with students today is they allow themselves to get discouraged when the learning becomes difficult as so many of them have had no issues up to that point. Students need constant reassurance that they can overcome any obstacle with enough work and effort.
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in Mathematics and Secondary Education. I spent so much time and effort while in school learning not only from my teachers but from every internship I was able to take. I focused as much as possible on developing the skills to transfer my knowledge to the future generations.
I have taught at a number of high schools in Oklahoma and currently find myself teaching at Prue. I am qualified to teach AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Pre-AP Algebra 2, and many more courses. I have taught almost every level of math that a high school student can take at this point, but always look for ways to continue pushing myself to be able to reach more students.
I have worked with different ages from Elementary, middle, and high schools. Also I have teached in many colleges for mathimatics, physics and engineering since more than 30years.
I am a 27 year old math, science, and engineering tutor. I began tutoring math in 2010 with a local tutoring company. After gaining several years of experience and expanding the subjects I was capable of tutoring, I began taking on private tutoring opportunities. I then began tutoring at the local community collee, covering specific courses and working with assist students in courses with historically high failure rates. I now work as an assistant supervisor for a college tutorial center that has been voted best in area 5 years in a row. I have a level 1 CRLA tutoring certificate and am currently looking for new students to take on in a private capacity.
I am passionate about nearly all STEM courses and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering at California State University of Fresno.
I wanted to clarify a few things. I have received two Associate's degrees from Raritan Valley Community College. One in Liberal Arts and the other in Food and Beverage Management. I am currently majoring in Chemistry and Mathematics and have been accepted to Rider University with a full scholarship to continue my education in Chemistry. I have screenshots of my transcript from RVCC with most of the college courses that I have taken and the grades I have received. This website only let's you post 4 pictures so I tried to post as many as I could. I have a cumulative GPA of 3. 41 and I was awarded a scholarship from the American Chemical Society to continue my education in Chemistry. I would also like to say that I'm a single mother of one child and I'm just trying to make some extra money while going to school. Give me a chance and I would love to share my knowledge with you!
Hey you beautiful people! I know the difficulties in python(or coding in general) first hand. I was in your shoes once believe it or not. It can seem very hard and scary, I understand, but it doesn't need to be. Many concepts in coding(python) just need to be broken down for us to understand! When you and I have a 1-on-1 together. We'll use my building block strategy, making learning new concepts easier. The strategy entails breaking down big concepts into smaller pieces, and then building it back up again. So, whether you want to become a better coder, build projects, or get your future job. I am going to help you make your goal a success. My passion from an early age is sharing my knowledge to people(coaching Calculus and now coding). I am always trying to find a way to make an impact on someones life. I am here for you, your future and your career. Also because I'm very passionate about helping you. I will take this very seriously. A free 30 min consultation is included to help decide if we are a match for each other. I am very excited to speak with you and can't wait to help you crush it!
I began professionally tutoring 3 years ago, after the completion of my undergraduate degree in Aeronautical and Mechanical engineering. However, I have always had a passion for giving knowledge since high school when I was sometimes helping fellow classmates or junior students with their maths, physics or biology problems. In university, I have sharpened my skills into understanding and explaining sometimes difficult concepts to my peers, by helping them preparing for exams. So far I have had the opportunity to tutor more than 20 students, some online but most face to face. My students have ranged from high school student to university mature student. I have adapted my tutoring approach with each student to satisfy their need. I use a custom tutoring approach with every student, where I first evaluate what is the student need and performance and from there I draw out a plan that I cover with the student. This approach have successfully work with all my students so far. I keep my approach professional and friendly, and I always prepare well enough and tailor every session not just on the tutee but also the subject specific that needs to be www.*** from Maths and Mechanical Engineering software, I can also offer tuition in 3D modelling, FEA, and CFD simulation software. I enjoy teaching and sharing my passion for math and logic. I also love to see people be able to grow and learn in ways that they did not know that they could. There is also joy for me in learning as well because by teaching people I also get to learn and grow and get to grow a connection to the people that I am teaching. I am a college student pursuing a bachelors degree in computer science with a minor in mathematics. Math has always been a passion of mine, and I love the way numbers and calculations work to bring understanding to problems. I also have a lot of passion for teaching others and trying to help others achieve a better understanding of the material that they are studying along with helping them grow and appreciate the subject that I know and love.
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process with a new student is to get to know them and how they view the subject that they are working on. Whether they view it as a passion that just needs more help to fully develop, a burden to be overcome, or something else entirely. Once I have begun to know this information I like to begin by introducing the basic ideas around the subject or topic at hand to get a better grasp around the fundamentals. This helps me learn who the student is as a person and how they like to learn and interact with the subject so that the relationship is built and the way to approach the subject can be improved for each of the individual students
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a large background in mathematics. I am pursuing a mathematics minor and a computer science degree. I have taken up to Calculus III, linear algebra, and statistics at the college level. I have been at the top of my class throughout high school and college. math has always come easily to me, and I love to share and learn with people while improving my own skills.
I am a junior at MIT pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (Robotics). I am writing to express interest in tutoring in STEM fields for summer 2018.
As a robotics major at MIT, I have background knowledge of the fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (both in design and manufacturing) in addition to extensive hands-on experience prior to and during my education at MIT. Being an MIT student has given me exceptional opportunities to broaden my vision through a wide variety of courses from both engineering and science disciplines; this tutoring opportunity will give me a chance to share my piece of knowledge with interested individuals.

I plan on pursuing a higher degree in physics with the end goal of becoming a physics educator, and develop better textbooks for STEM subjects. I may use explanations of a subject that are a little unconventional, so you're not paying for a simple reiteration of what your teacher said in class, but rather a completely fresh attempt to elucidate the material. I'm excited to help you with homework, or explain any concepts that you struggle with!
If my listed availability doesn't work for you, message me anyway. I'm willing to negotiate.
