I've always been in advanced math classes, so I am well versed on the material. In every math class I've enrolled in I've maintained A grades, and in general I have a www.*** GPA. I would prefer having sessions over Zoom or Google Meets, but I am flexible to other options except for Facetime.
Hello, and thank you for considering me as a teacher for you or your child. I have a degree in English and am a certified teacher with over 20 years of experience. My passion is working with anyone who has a desire to learn. I teach Mathematics, English (both composition and the language itself), and music, specifically piano performance. My philosophy of teaching is that everyone can learn, and I consider it my job to find out how to make that happen for each individual. I truly believe that every student is unique, and that every student learns differently. There is no "one size fits all" approach to education in my way of thinking. I look forward to getting to know you!
I have a younger sister that I help with her homework as well as family members who I help. I also help my friends in college with their basic math skills. I am very patient and can give your student many different ways of solving problems and I can help students who are independent learners, visual learners, auditory learners or even hands-on learners. I am very flexible and I get the job done. Feel free to contact me at any time and I am in the Clinton, Maryland area but I don't mind traveling to you. I also go further than just helping them with the problems on their homework I give tips, strategies, and notes to solve the problems on their own.
I'm currently taking Geometry Honors at www.*** Jackson MS. I got a 100% on last year's Algebra 1 final, a 600 on the SOL, and I received the Math Achievement Certificate last year, which is awarded to one student in each team (about 100 students). Last year, I helped my math teacher prepare her Math 7 students for the SOL. This year, I tutor pre-algebra students during my free period (every other day).
Hello! My name is Helen M., and I am a rising senior at Oakcrest School in Vienna, VA. I have over 6 years experience working with children, including those with disabilities. I primarily tutor in math, reading, and science. I also am happy to help with SAT preparation. I have experience tutoring students of all ages and levels, as well as students with learning disabilities, such as dylexia and ADHD. I have a strong background in math and science from my work in doctoral level research laboratories at Georgetown, Catholic, and Marymount University. I believe that learning should be hands-on, fun, and not overwhelming. I typically charge $25-$35 depending on location. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Hello,
I have been tutoring Math for over 14 years for various grades: Middle School, High School, and College. Math is a wonderful subject once you understand it. My primary objective is to help you love Math and enjoy it. Once that is established, nothing will stop you from excelling at Math.
Diplomas: I hold a PhD in Wireless Communications, MS in Telecommunications, and BS in Electrical Engineering.
Tutoring Methods: My tutoring methods involve direct engagement with the student to make sure he/she is really understanding what I am explaining. I always try to provide real life scenarios where certain formulas are applied. This approach helps the student remember the equation or even reconstruct it again based on the scenarios discussed. Everything in Math is applied in our daily life but we are unaware of it because we do not pay attention to it but that does not mean it does not exist. After most sessions, I assign few problems for the student to work on them at home before our next session (these assignments could be chosen from the textbook or I could formulate them myself). This method affirms student understanding of the subjects covered.
Guarantees: I can guarantee you that if you follow the steps I pass onto you and do your homework assigned to you, I have no doubt that you will not only pass the class but also end up with an A. That's based on experience and not talk.

Hello,
I am a third year teacher. I have taught 2nd and 4th grade all subjects, and 5th/6th grade math. My specialty is elementary math, however, I am also able to tutor with reading.
I graduated from High School in May 2016 with a cumulative GPA of 3,22. I am currently enrolled as a sophomore in Morgan State University, located in Baltimore, Maryland pursuing my BA in Biology. Yes, I am still a student, but I have many years of experience with elementary school children. I've been tutoring since I was a freshman in high school, first starting with my younger cousins. When I came to college, I got a work study job as a tutor for elementary and middle school www.*** work directly with any student that needs assistance in this specific subject. My tutor groups range roughly around 3-6 students in each of my sessions. Students that need extra assistance, I make sure that they get what they need so that no child is left behind. My job is to make sure that every student not only learns the material they need to know, but grasp it so that they will be able to explain it back to anyone that asks. I want to benefit my students as much as possible. I am very easy to reach and will always provide quick responses. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!

I also have plenty of experience with children. Including-
-YMCA Junior Camp Counselor
-Child Development Class: Students involved with the class get the opportunity to create and teach lessons to preschoolers.
-Classroom Volunteer: I volunteered in an elementary school classroom daily after school during the 2019-2020 school year. I assisted during their math period.
-Reading Buddies: At my local library, I was involved with a program in which I met with a third grader weekly to practice reading and writing skills.
-Nursery Attendant: I worked in a church nursery alongside my sister where we supervised children during the church service.
I would love to work with your child, and I'd love to hear from you soon! Please reach out with any questions or concerns! Thank you!
Looking for Elementary aged students (K-6) who need assistance in any subject. I am currently in school for my bachelors in Elementary Ed and am looking to tutor to help students and earn credits for service learning. Feel free to send me message with any questions you have.
My intellectual curiosity, love of learning, and desire to positively impact the lives of others ultimately lead me into the field of education. I believe that the purpose of education is to equip an individual with the necessary tools to problem solve, effectively communicate, and think critically. The quality of education that children receive in their early years is pivotal to their development and success later in life.
I am currently working as a Kindergarten teacher in an inclusive classroom for Baltimore City Public Schools. I hold two Maryland Educator Certificates, in Elementary Education and Special Education. In May 2016, I completed the Master of Arts in Teaching program at Johns Hopkins University. I also have experience working with students with Autism and other special needs.
I believe that as a teacher, I contribute to the development of dynamic and engaging learning environments for students. I look forward to working with your child/student!
