I have privately tutored math, science, history, and english (including SAT 1 and SAT subject tests) for 5 years. Several of my students scored 800s (perfect score is 800). I taught children (grades K-11) in these subjects as well. I have also taught SSAT for middle school students. I also taught at JEI where I taught children ranging from 1st grade to 12th grade reading, writing, and math. I love working with kids and I try to make sure that they are having a good time while learning.
Mrs. Amy has FBI clearances, Act 34, Bachelor of Science degree and Master's equivalent, 310 Post-secondary credits. She has recently retired, and is experienced, competent, and willing to work out scheduling that serves your needs, especially in this challenging time of pandemic. Fees may be as low as 5 dollars for a short help session, with 75 cents per minute more, if needed. Lower hourly rates for scheduled regular sessions. ***@*** or Skype: amyspal tel: *** All hours are available to any www.*** ; Although any Science Fair may be cancelled, doing a project to share online will still be possible for those with initiative.
I am a retired elementary school teacher. I would like to tutor and/or provide support for virtual learning to a child in grades K through 6. It is important to know and understand the children in my care and to make learning fun. I believe in finding the place where a child is successful and building on that success.
While working at my previous jobs I have had to cook and clean, I have dealt with allergies and I am CPR certified. I am willing to work nights and weekends.
I'm a K-6 Math Specialist who has worked with numerous schools in Ohio and across the United States to develop best practices for teaching math! I LOVE teaching teachers how to teach Math!! In fact, the #1 reason students struggle with Common Core Math is because a lack of teacher training. Believe it or not, Common Core Math will improve your child's ability to reason in Math!! Time will fly because I'll make it fun!
I use strategies guaranteed to work with ADHD students! In addition, I teach students self-regulations strategies to manage their ADHD symptoms so that they can be successful in school.
Want to make learning Math and Science fun??? Having a hard time learning LONG division? Well, I can teach you SHORT division!! It's so easy and fun!!! Or, we can do the "division slide" to the song "electric slide." I can guarantee that I can make learning Math fun!
You'll be sure to notice a mindset change after a handful of sessions!
Hello, I am Jeri and I am so excited to meet you! I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Notre Dame College in Cleveland, Ohio. I have been teaching for about 5 years, but I have been working with children for a little over 7 years now. I have instructed both 3rd and 4th grade classes fulltime, and tutored students in all elementary grade levels. Throughout the two years I have taught third grade, I have successfuly helped all of my students pass Ohio's Third Grade Reading Gaurantee required test scores. Besides teaching, some of my passions in life are sports, the outdoors, traveling, and animals. I am a very energetic teacher, and I love making kids laugh or smile while they are learning. My teaching style is very dynamic, as I work to accommodate my students learning styles and interests. My availabilty can be flexible, however I have posted the days and times that are the most open.

Hello! I have my master’s degree and certification in PreK-12 reading specialist and instructional coaching. I am also certified in K-6 elementary teaching. I have over ten years of experience working with a diverse range of ability levels. I enjoy working with readers and writers of all ages and can assist whether the struggle is in reading comprehension or decoding (sounding out the words on the page). I am very familiar with dyslexia and use The Science of Reading as the framework for everything I teach in ELA. I also have experience working with gifted students and can help them excel with 1:1 instruction.
I prefer to work with struggling mathematicians in grades K-5.
How it works? I would first set your child up for a FREE evaluation. After, I would be able to pinpoint gaps in their foundational skills and create an individualized learning plan. Lessons thereafter, can be as often as you prefer.
My availability:
Sunday and Saturday- All Day
Monday-Thursday- 3:30-9:00pm
Rates-$60-$85/hour
For now, all lessons will be through Zoom. This allows me to work with students from a wider radius in a safe manner. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Although I have only one year of teaching experience in a school setting, I have tutored students for many years online and in their homes my step-by-step approach to solving algebraic and word problems. Mathematics is unlike any other subject - it can not be memorized, it MUST BE PRACTICED! I make up practice sheets so my students can gain as much experience as possible. Along with my other teaching experiences, I have also taught GED math subjects such as time, fractions, decimals, scientific notation, and beginning algebra. My schedule is very flexible and I can travel anywhere in the Hershey/Hummelstown area.
I love to color, craft, and find stuff outdoors to do with the kids I watch. My baby sister is 2 and a half, and I often watch her for 2-8 hours, so I know first hand how rough it can be! I was in honors english most of my high school, and I will be going into a statistics major. I often helped my siblings with their homework, and the kids I babysat.
I am a licensed Special Education teacher with about 2 years of experience in teaching. I am currently in my Master's program at The George Washington University for Special Education.
I've always been in advanced math classes, so I am well versed on the material. In every math class I've enrolled in I've maintained A grades, and in general I have a www.*** GPA. I would prefer having sessions over Zoom or Google Meets, but I am flexible to other options except for Facetime.
Hi again! I just wanted to let you get to know a little about me. My previous experience with children started with my younger brother who is now 15. He opened the world to me helping other students with their school work. In 2010, I volunteered at a local Jewish Sunday school working with children ages 5 through 12. I was an assistant teacher for two years. After that, I started volunteering at a camp that was dedicated towards children who are along the Autism Spectrum. Spring 2015 I was an intern at Jemicy Lower school which focuses on working with childrne who have learning disabilities like dyslexia. I loved working with children. In 2015 after I graduated from high school, I went to Frostburg State University and went for a degree in early childhood education. Since then I have obtained a cosmetology license from Robert Paul Academy, and graduated from the Community College of Baltimore County with my Associates degree. I have been accepted into Stevenson University to obtain a degree in Finance. I love working with students and doing math. During this pandemic I have graduated, and am currently helping my 10th grade younger brother with his school work. I want to take the time I have available and help others in need.
I am Sindhu, an undergraduate at The Ohio State University. I just finished my second year of college and am majoring in Neuroscience. I have been tutoring elementary and middle school kids for almost a year in Math and love it!
I have a bachelor in Electrical and Computer engineering. I have 10+ years of experience as an Electrical engineer and 10+ years of experience as a Math teacher. I also speak and write Arabic fluently.
I'm currently taking Geometry Honors at www.*** Jackson MS. I got a 100% on last year's Algebra 1 final, a 600 on the SOL, and I received the Math Achievement Certificate last year, which is awarded to one student in each team (about 100 students). Last year, I helped my math teacher prepare her Math 7 students for the SOL. This year, I tutor pre-algebra students during my free period (every other day).
