I started my education after my children were old enough for me to do so and just haven't stopped. I am passionate about learning and passing that along to others. I strongly believe that the quality of a person's future is dependent upon their education especially as we face the future. I can tutor at almost all levels but prefer to help students prepare for high school, college, and graduate school. I tutor mostly in test preparation skills, SAT/ACT, Reading and Writing, Composition, English, Literature, and many of the Liberal Arts. I also offer a well-received program for helping high school juniors and senior choose their college major and the institution they will attend. When I perform this service I will help narrow down the schools until a final list is picked and then will help with applications, essays, interviews, and financial aid including scholarships. All of my prices are negotiable based on your ability to pay and proof of income will be required. The performance increase in my students can be documented and frankly, I provide results.

At Brooklyn Tech, I founded the Tutoring Service Association, training other students to become tutors and offering tutoring services myself for AP exams. I scored a 5 on my AP Calculus AB, AP Physics I, AP Chemistry and AP English, Language, and Composition www.*** am now a sophomore at Skidmore College, majoring in philosophy and computer science. I have a cumulative GPA of www.*** , which makes me a Periclean Honors Student. I am also proud to announce that I am one of five students in my graduating class to receive the Porter Presidential Scholarship in Science and Mathematics. Although I am not a science major, I conduct research in computational biophysics with funding from the National Science www.*** will not be a tutor that simply lectures or talks at your child. It is my policy to teach using a Socratic questioning method that encourages learning through dialogue and conversation. I believe that this is the best way to keep your child engaged and it is the best way for me to assess your child's understanding. I have plenty of experience working with children, as I was a volunteer at the Pediatric Emergency Department in Mount Sinai for a year. There, I learned how to be patient with children and learned to put a smile on their faces.

I am a high school senior with almost 4 years of experience as an in-home tutor of general mathematics! The last 2 years, I have had the privilege of assisting a teacher at Reed Middle School and Fellowship Christian Academy. The previous year, during which I assisted in the development of differential instruction and facilitated the learning of basic mathematical concepts targeted at 6th to 8th graders, I also frequently assisted teachers in explaining concepts and always attempted to find new relevant perspectives that students could understand and better remember. Additionally, last year, as a National Honors Society (NHS) tutor, I expanded my versatility by tutoring students from the 9th to the 12th grade in math and science. I taught students in everything from basic math to advanced math, including the SAT (I scored in the 99 pecercentile) and Calculus, and have taught various sciences, including Physics and Chemistry, both in a classroom and home setting. Furthermore, because I regularly instruct teenagers and young adults, I am proficient in the use of various mediums, including online platforms and teaching techniques such as mnemonics and visuals.
As a tutor and young adult, I aspire to reignite the long lost passion for learning. As such, I communicate with students individually and create specialized plans that maximize efficiency. In addition, I have access to a plethora of reputable resources that students retain access to long after my tutoring has ended. I aim to impart to students, in detail, the different ways I have achieved success, inside and outside the classroom and provide channels to make a difference, academically and otherwise!

Welcome to my page and thank you for stopping by.
My motto: Learning is a process of appreciation, wisdom, and knowledge. Seeing my students' steady progression and diligence toward education and their future is what makes teaching so worth wild! Some students may not like learning because they think they are NOT good at it. However, once you get their mind rolling and confidence soaring - it never stops. Those are the few things that I enjoy about one-on-one tutoring. You get to know the students and their family members on a deeper level. You get to understand their needs and what it takes for their engine to start.
A little bit about myself: I have been in the educational field for more than 6 years. I started out when I was in high school, tutoring my neighbors' two elementary school kids, and absolutely loved it. Now I work as a high school English teacher and tutor on the side for fun! Food is my other passion. Both my parents are chefs, so I have been spoiled all my life with amazing delicacy. An inspiring novel or a comical graphic novel is my favorite pastime.

I am young, passionate and full of energy. I have an excellent connect with all of my students and personally ensure their career growth. I have coached hundreds of students over a period spanning about one and a half year, at multiple leading coaching institutes. Quant has always been my strength. I have secured 51 / 51 in the GMAT Quantitative Section. I have personally experienced the GMAT Exam, not long back and thereby will have an even stronger connect with all the GMAT students. My mental math skills are an icing on the cake. Since the calculators are not allowed on the GMAT Quantitative Section, I can share some amazing mental math / calculation tricks that will help them save their invaluable time during the actual paper. It will also be very easy for me to help the students with their Math Assignments, Homework and Doubts.
I serve as a Visiting Faculty at some of the leading Test Preparation / Coaching Institutes in Mumbai, India like IMS Learning Resources Pvt. Ltd., PDLC and Career Insight. I coach students for all the sections of Management, Bank, Law and Other Related Entrance Exams. It has been about a year and a half since I started coaching students and have received overwhelming positive feedback / response from the students across all the coaching institutes that I teach in. I also provide career counseling, admission consulting and doubt solving services to students as complimentary services.
