I am a college student looking to tutor people in English and math. I love to help people, and there's no greater satisfaction than seeing someone learn. I can tutor English through lower level college work and math up to precalculus.

I enjoy teaching and sharing my passion for math and logic. I also love to see people be able to grow and learn in ways that they did not know that they could. There is also joy for me in learning as well because by teaching people I also get to learn and grow and get to grow a connection to the people that I am teaching. I am a college student pursuing a bachelors degree in computer science with a minor in mathematics. Math has always been a passion of mine, and I love the way numbers and calculations work to bring understanding to problems. I also have a lot of passion for teaching others and trying to help others achieve a better understanding of the material that they are studying along with helping them grow and appreciate the subject that I know and love.
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process with a new student is to get to know them and how they view the subject that they are working on. Whether they view it as a passion that just needs more help to fully develop, a burden to be overcome, or something else entirely. Once I have begun to know this information I like to begin by introducing the basic ideas around the subject or topic at hand to get a better grasp around the fundamentals. This helps me learn who the student is as a person and how they like to learn and interact with the subject so that the relationship is built and the way to approach the subject can be improved for each of the individual students
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a large background in mathematics. I am pursuing a mathematics minor and a computer science degree. I have taken up to Calculus III, linear algebra, and statistics at the college level. I have been at the top of my class throughout high school and college. math has always come easily to me, and I love to share and learn with people while improving my own skills.

I attend the University of Washington. I was rank 4 in my class during high school (at Bothell High School). I am majoring in math/economics, and I am president of the UW Parliamentary Debate Association.

Hello, I can help with math if you are confused or having problems. I can go from basic math to geometry. You can join the zoom link in order to get help. I try to give 1 on 1 help so if you join and there happens to be another person there, I will create a breakout zoom so I can help you and the other student privately. We can discuss payment methods after the lesson, though, I only have venmo.
Message me what times work for you or your kid and I can give you the zoom code and meeting ID.
If you happen to not be satisfied with my help or I lack the knowledge to help you, I can give a discount or make the lesson free if so.
Personally, I am a 16-year-old female who loves helping others and has a weird passion for math. I enjoy helping young children or others who may be peers of mine. I'm hoping to be able to enjoy helping others while making some money in order to save up for a senior trip and help pay to go to an art school since it's my passion. If you are a visual learner, I can easily help since I am a visual learner, myself. I will do my best to use visual examples and be creative while I help you in order to have some smiles and fun. The pandemic has been difficult so I hope to offer my best to you or your child. I'm excited to meet you!
