Hi! My name is Chloe S., I'm 16, and I will be going into my junior year of high school this fall. I have a 3 . 9 GPA and I excel in math, but also would be willing to tutor in any subject that I think that I could help you succeed at. I am serious, but easy going and easy to work with. :)
I'm a private math tutor with a BS degree in mathematics. I tutor all math up to Math Analysis and Pre-calculus. I also tutor all three sections of the SAT. I've been tutoring for 19 years. My strength is finding a way to explain a difficult concept in simpler terms that work for each particular student. I have the necessary equipment to tutor online and make it just like I'm sitting next to the student.
STEM topics including math (Algebra I and II, Prealgebra, Geometry, etc.), biology, and environmental and earth sciences. I live in Eagle Rock, but I mainly tutor over zoom.

I finished my high school in Hong Kong, now I am studying in ELAC with biochemistry major. I have experienced the eastern and the western teaching style, eastern one is more like exam oriented and the western one is more focusing on the concept. But I think those two elements should make a balance. In my class, I will combine those two elements, you will learn the concept and the skills when taking the exam.
I have over 4 years of experience tutoring struggling students in math and science from the middle school through college level.

Here, our services go over at a slow pace to ensure that our students understands the curriculum. Our teaching is very flexible, allowing the child to go slower in difficult subjects while challenging previously known knowledge. Your child will be able to excell in no time!
For my math students, I hope to make sure they understand. Anybody can memorize something, but to understand is just exceeding that standard. I'll begin by giving a simple problem in most instances that I'll have them look over and use their logical systemic approach to examine with. They'll use their logic to examine, and if they get it right, great! If they make mistakes, it's great too, because now we can go over it during the lesson to show what to do and why!
For my English students, I want them to use their imagination. Books and writings are based off imagination, not knowledge. You can take as much information as possible, but if you have no way to imagine how you'll present that, then it won't work. My teaching in this subject will go over this, and I hope I can improve their skills throughout the course.
I have worked with a family member who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), so I did work with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapists for about three years, but I have no problem working with any other students.
I feel very happy to teach, so I do not hope for mush. I wish to mainly teach online through Zoom primarily so that I can show the work since I do not wish to use my source of transportation to travel many distances as I'm a minor. I would set a standard of twelve dollars an hour, the minimum for minimum wages in California.
I enjoy working with people who are eager to learn, and more importantly, eager to pass tests. School is often a difficult setting, but with the right tools, you can succeed. I offer a variety of skills to not only guide students through problems, but to further deepen their understanding and have them discover how to apply new concepts in the future. Although I especially enjoy teaching calculus topics, I am able to tutor for any math subjects, including trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and more. I use interesting and engaging methods to explain difficult ideas to those in need. I have experience making abstractions clear for countless friends and family members, and I look forward to continuing with new people.
My name is Kyle A. and I am currently a freshman college student at California State University Long Beach majoring in history to become a high school history teacher. I first began tutoring in my 2019 senior year of high school and tutored a middle school and high school student separately for about four months. The subjects I specialize in include History, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Statistics, and English. However, I can help with any subject that is a part of general high school education. I can also help with test prep for college exams such as the SAT and ACT.
I started tutoring when I returned to school, helping my classmates in my two math classes. I have worked mostly with at-risk students, most at the high school level, and some at the college level. I taught Algebra and Geometry for 1 1/2 years as a long term substitute teacher in a high school. While I loved teaching in the classroom, I much prefer the one-on-one relationship that tutoring provides. I want to be sure my students understand the concepts we are covering, not simply memorizing rules or steps just to find a solution. There is nothing more satisfying -- for tutor and student -- than when the "light" goes on and the student fully understands what he/she is doing!
I am a recently retired software engineer. I worked in aerospace for four decades applying my skills in programming and mathematics to a variety of projects, including the development of software for flight simulators and the design of aircraft flight control systems. I love tutoring because it provides me the opportunity to continue working in the areas I love and to keep my mind sharp and active. I enjoy mentoring others and receive great satisfaction from knowing I've helped my students increase their knowledge in these areas.
I am currently and Mechanical Engineering student at UCLA and I can help students with STEM related subjects like Math, Physics, and Chemistry up to and including high school level.
My name is Sahej N. and I am a freshman at Diamond Bar High School. I can teach math up to geometry. I can also teach to english and biology honors. I am also good in computers and can teach almost everything in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
I have taught two students before, one for Spanish and the other for math. I can teach students of all ages, and I also have experience being a TA at a nearby Chinese school. I have also worked as a volunteer for a Microsoft program that focuses on teaching kids how to code. I've maintained a high GPA for all 4 years, and I have also participated in a host family program in Japan for 3 weeks, so I am very familiar and passionate about the language. I am a native speaker of both English and Chinese as well.
