Hi! My name is Abigail, and while I have no formal training in the education field, I am able to help out anyone in need of school tutoring! With the multiple subjects I have listed within my profile, I feel sure that I am able to help those who ask for it! As I am currently a Junior in high school (graduating next school year 2020-2021), I do not have the full capabilites to help with any subjects. However, I am willing to help with the subjects I am able to! I have taken several science, math, social studies, and english courses in my school as well as up to level 4 of the German language. As for science, I range from basic earth science to chemistry to human anatomy to medical terminology! Math is from Elementary (K-5), Middle (6-8), and High school (Algebra 1-Prob and Stats, opted out of Precalc and Calculus classes). In the English department, I will be in English 4 this upcoming school year, but I have also taken Creative Writing courses to help further my ability to help with English classes. For Social Studies, I can do anything from Middle (grades 6-8) to Highschool (with the exception of Government, Economy, and any AP classes).
Feel free to email, call, or reach out to me on Facebook! I will drive to any location within 10 miles of my residence and spend any amount of time needed with each student I tutor to ensure their success! I will leave my phone number, email, and Facebook in this description!Phone: ( tel: *** Email: ***@*** Abby S.
I hope anyone reading this will give me the chance to share my knowledge with those who need my help!

Hello,
My name is Hayley R., and I am a first-year student at Cal Poly Pomona with an Animal Science major and a specialization in Pre-Veterinary sciences.
I love science, especially biology because it is fascinating to know how life works! I am in a Biology class now that focuses on cell and organelle function, plus I was in several science classes in High School, such as General Biology and Anatomy.
I have always received excellent grades in English class, and I was told by my professor last quarter that I received one of the best essay grades in the class! I hope I can share some of these writing skills with you!
I am also a big fan of math, and I have been in several math classes, such as Algebra One and Two, Geometry, and Statistics, those of which I have gotten a high grade in.
I, myself, think that I am a kind person (as all my friends tell me) and I am incredibly understanding and patient. In the past, I have needed a tutor, and I felt as if they were judging my work and getting frustrated with me, but I know that school can be challenging, and I would never get upset at someone for making a mistake. Mistakes are a part of life, and they help lead to success!
I hope to hear from you!

I have tutored in the subject many, many times! I have completed college General Bio 1 and 2, and microbiology! I plan to be a physician! In fact, while I was working on my www.*** degree, I was both a lead Biology tutor as well as a remedial mathematics tutor (algebra, intro to algebra, pre-calculus). This was in addition to tutoring Government and www.*** History, as well as some European History (I had taken the www.*** examinations and received a 4 on each, giving me a total of 18 credit hours!). I really love to teach United States History and Government. I was also the "most recommended" tutor for 4 months straight!
Biology is absolutely my forte. I love everything about it, and truly enjoy teaching it while relating it to how we operate as humans, why we do the things we do, www.*** It's just enchanting!
My methods are very straightforward:
1.) I will assess and ask questions about your troubles in the subject. This will allow me to see where you're at.
2.) After my assessment, I will often ask questions about your preferred learning style. For example, if you're a visual learner, I will use the e-whiteboard and figures to help you understand better. I am here to tutor you and absolutely tailor a plan for you!
3.) Once I have all the information I need, I will formulate a lesson plan. I will create a map from "You Start Here," all the way till "Congratulations!" I will create a simple, yet effective, plan to ensure you're gaining www.*** ;
4.) While we are studying together, I will perform "spot checks," or little mini-quizzes. This isn't to put any pressure on you, but I simply want to know that you are understanding the concepts, setting you up for success!!!
*** Never, ever, ever feel bashful and afraid to ask questions! Questions are what keep academia alive! I will always ask if you are understanding, but you have to be sure that you are asking questions, too!
Contact me for any reason! If you need help in a subject in general, or a specific part, I'm here!
Future Doctor here!!

A bit about me:
I am a recent graduate from Drake University in Iowa. I began as a Music Business major, but realized my passion for the law while taking an ethics class my freshman year. While I still appreciated the music world, and kept my music interest with classes, choir and a music minor, I quickly switched my major to Law, Politics & Society. With this switch, I began my now legal career in pursuit of an eventual career in writing policy. I added a Rhetoric major to emphasize my interest in dissecting and analyzing society, relationships and societal communications. I originally took the LSAT and did well above average, but realized that basic law school was not the direction I was interested in and rather wanted to pursue my PhD in Criminology, while at the same time getting my JD. Because of the breadth of this decision, I decided to take a few years off before starting my doctoral education.
I have never believed in the conventional approach to education for all students. While some definitely benefit from structured lesson plans, homework and assignments, many more succeed in a more free-flowing, conversational environment. I learned this while studying abroad for my senior year of high school, in the lovely land of Germany. I technically graduated high school as a junior, and headed to Germany as a gap year in education. I was still required to go to school, and realized how difficult that had become in my, now, high school graduate mentality. My defiance towards attending classes in Germany, helped me realize the different stages at which students learn and the importance of tailored, one-on-one education. I dedicated my time in Germany to learning the language inside and out and have continued my love of German through a certificate of fluency and constant tutoring throughout college.
Please contact me if you have any questions or if you would like to set up a session! I would love to help you reach your educational goal.

I am a 20-year old language nerd who has a passion for education. Weather it is English, German or Swedish, reading, writing or grammar, European or World History, I will happily help.
After almost 14 years of studying for quizzes, tests or presentations, I have developed exellent study techniques as well as skills regarding how to prioritize and efficiantly accomplish goals. Great communication, hard work and organizational skills are among my strengths. Most importantly though, I truly believe that education is the key to making the world a better place. I have grown up in an academic environment with a mother who is an English teacher, and a father who studied language, literature and political science at the University. Therefore, education has always been a big part of my life, which has lead me to become a very successful student as well.
My qualifications, accomplishments & awards:
University of Minnesota: English literature class.

University of Gothenburg, Sweden: German literature class.

Valedictorian.

Scholarships: Stiftelsen Sundberg, Kungliga Hvitfeldska Stiftelsen, Stiftelsen Einar och Sigurd Nordendahl scholarships - all rewarded based on academic performance.
Educational work is always valuable. You are not only helping a student to pass a quizz or test, but also preparing them for the future. As previously mentioned, I believe that education is the key to making the world a better place. Helping students learn about different subjects, allowing them to discover what they enjoy the most, will in turn lead them to develop these interests into educational paths. Seeing this development and transformation, is what I enjoy the most. Please do not hesistate to contact me! I look forward to talking to you!

Hallo, und herzlich Wilkommen!
My name is Sarah K. and I am a 25 year old native German speaker. I was born and raised in Austria and moved to the United States at the age of 20. I was an Au Pair in New Jersey and one of my daily tasks were helping my host child with her homework and introducing her to the German language. At the end of my one year long stay with the family the 6 year old girl was able to say full sentences and hold short conversations in German.
Being a language learner myself, I love the feeling of learning new words, phrases or structures in a foreing language and suddenly seeing a whole new world unfold (I am currently teaching myselg Spanish). My goal is it to help you have that very same feeling and experience every time you are learing something new with me.
I believe that there are 2 very important things to keep in mind when you are learning a new language:
1) It is important to have a goal. Whether it is to be able to have a basic conversation withing 6 months, or passing a test by the end of the year. We will comeup with a personal goal for you or your child and focus on it and constatly work towards it, lesson by lesson and step by step.
2) Have fun. It's one of the most efficient ways when it comes to learning a new language. I know that German has a reputation of being a very dificult language but it can still be fun to learn it. Playing around with different vocabularies and grammar is a great way to remember the words and strutures.
I look forward to hearing from you and help you or your child with all things German.
Bis bald, see you soon!

I am a current Bryn Mawr college undergraduate (Junior) with a double major in Latin and German, and a minor in Comparative Literature. I have been studying Latin for 10 years now, and German for 2. I have tutored English for 3 years as well! I offer tutoring for Latin, German, and English/English Literature. I absolutely love language! If I could, I would learn every language in the world. I want to spend the rest of my life teaching langauges, and helping students fall in love with Latin and German the same way I did.
I've worked with students who need general help to improve their language skills both in the target language and in English, students who want help with vocabulary for the SAT or spelling bees, students who need extra help to prepare for specific tests in school, and students who want to start learning from scratch. I've worked with the students's teachers specifically, and helped parents understand the options for teaching from the beginning too.
