As a child growing up, I’ve witnessed my mom successfully help many students, including myself. This inspired me to live by her example from a young age. I enjoy learning and helping students develop a lifelong love for www.*** ;
As a Lead Tutor for the TRiO Student Services Program, I learned about effective communication and how language significantly impacts my connection with peers. My responsibilities as a Lead tutor included tutoring students in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Calculus. I was also able to conduct out-reach, develop personalized tutoring material for students, and meet with fellow program tutors to review tutoring curricula and common challenges experienced by students. In addition to that, I participated in class visits to educate students on available learning resources and completed individual projects to improve the tutoring system.
Growing up with nine siblings provided me the opportunity to exhibit my love for teaching through them. In earning my High School Diploma and an Associates degree, I found numerous possibilities to volunteer/work as a tutor at my local library and college campus. I tutored math, up to calculus, and some science courses during my time with TRIO SSS. I've also worked as a mathematics tutor at the Math Resource Center on campus. During those five months, I participated in multiple workshops to improve my tutoring and communication skills. Finally, I found a great opportunity during the summer to tutor at my local library. This experience opened a door of opportunities for me to grow, learn, and most of all, teach.
Many students struggle to find useful learning resources during these unprecedented times. My goal is to use my role to provide as much help as possible so you can succeed academically. Please feel free to contact me. I would prefer to work in the evenings, but can arrange for additional times. I would love to work with you and help you meet your goals and have success in school.

I started my education after my children were old enough for me to do so and just haven't stopped. I am passionate about learning and passing that along to others. I strongly believe that the quality of a person's future is dependent upon their education especially as we face the future. I can tutor at almost all levels but prefer to help students prepare for high school, college, and graduate school. I tutor mostly in test preparation skills, SAT/ACT, Reading and Writing, Composition, English, Literature, and many of the Liberal Arts. I also offer a well-received program for helping high school juniors and senior choose their college major and the institution they will attend. When I perform this service I will help narrow down the schools until a final list is picked and then will help with applications, essays, interviews, and financial aid including scholarships. All of my prices are negotiable based on your ability to pay and proof of income will be required. The performance increase in my students can be documented and frankly, I provide results.

A bit about me:
I am a recent graduate from Drake University in Iowa. I began as a Music Business major, but realized my passion for the law while taking an ethics class my freshman year. While I still appreciated the music world, and kept my music interest with classes, choir and a music minor, I quickly switched my major to Law, Politics & Society. With this switch, I began my now legal career in pursuit of an eventual career in writing policy. I added a Rhetoric major to emphasize my interest in dissecting and analyzing society, relationships and societal communications. I originally took the LSAT and did well above average, but realized that basic law school was not the direction I was interested in and rather wanted to pursue my PhD in Criminology, while at the same time getting my JD. Because of the breadth of this decision, I decided to take a few years off before starting my doctoral education.
I have never believed in the conventional approach to education for all students. While some definitely benefit from structured lesson plans, homework and assignments, many more succeed in a more free-flowing, conversational environment. I learned this while studying abroad for my senior year of high school, in the lovely land of Germany. I technically graduated high school as a junior, and headed to Germany as a gap year in education. I was still required to go to school, and realized how difficult that had become in my, now, high school graduate mentality. My defiance towards attending classes in Germany, helped me realize the different stages at which students learn and the importance of tailored, one-on-one education. I dedicated my time in Germany to learning the language inside and out and have continued my love of German through a certificate of fluency and constant tutoring throughout college.
Please contact me if you have any questions or if you would like to set up a session! I would love to help you reach your educational goal.

Hello everyone! My name is Abigail S. and I would like to extend educational services to families who may be experiencing difficulties during the 2020-21 school www.*** ;Many health departments around the country have recommended all districts begin the school year remotely, and this can cause some problems for many families who may have essential workers in the household, multiple students, or create fear and worry for parents who do not feel they are cut out to help their students succeed in the way a teacher cannot replace. Whatever the reason, I would like to help!
I am a 2019 graduate of Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Music Performance. I am a substitute teacher for Tacoma Public Schools and was intending on working with them again this school year, however that may not be the case. I also work as a production manager and educator for an area youth theatre program. I teach clarinet and saxophone lessons on the side.

I am currently pursuing my Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Southern California (USC) and am beginning my PhD this fall! I have always had a passion for writing as I believe it is a form of expression. Along with all the writing I have done for myself, I have also assissted friends and family in writing college essays, essay homework assignments, and even editing essays. I currently am working on writing some research papers (some of which have preprints and are in preparation for publication). I have helped write essays in an English setting and scientific setting over a variety of age groups. I am eager to help spread my passion for writing and want to help students hone their writing skills! I believe it is important to engage with students and create an open learning environment and create an organized plan in which they feel like they are learning and gaining experience!
