I graduated from Princeton Unversity, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering in Spring 2018. I am currently applying to medical schools, but have always had a passion for teaching - whereas I began tutoring other students - both younger and the same age as I - as a freshman in high school. I continued during my summer breaks from college, even though I had various internships and research jobs. I am working full-time (40 hours a week) as a clinical research assistant at CHOP, but would love to continue to teach on the side! I love working with everyone from children to young adults. I am willing to work out location, hours, and what services I am willing to provide, depending on the student -- this includes via skype for interested students that are not in the Philadelphia area. Please contact me for interest and pricing and I am sure we can work something out!

Hello! My name is Samiah, and I am a former medical student looking to change career paths and follow my passion for teaching. I would love to work with you! School was a strong-suit of mine growing up, and I was recruited while in high school to work as a peer tutor, mostly in math (all levels up to Calculus BC). I loved it so much that in college, I worked as a Health and Science instructor in inner city schools through a non-profit organization. I also created my own tutoring program with three other star students. Often times, I also helped with writing, editing essays, and reviewing resumes. My passion for teaching and tutoring didn't stop there though! In medical school, I also worked as a Summer Camp Counselor for a STEM focused camp, helping to develop the science curriculum and implementing it as a counselor. I also worked as a Meditation/Mindfulness course instructor for school age students. These experiences all gave me the qualifications to work as a tutor and a teacher for your needs! In general I think my added experience as a counselor and a medical professional has developed my patience and empathy, which I think are important qualities in an effective educator.

I started tutoring in high school as a volunteer in my community and quickly became attached to it. I helped elementary school students with English and vocabulary and middle school students with Math subjects like Geometry and Pre-Algebra. It later became my first job experience as I made my tutoring lessons private. I enjoy seeing students grasp concepts they used to struggle with because of my assistance.

Hello! I look forward to working with you! Here is a little bit about myself to help you get to know me. I have lived in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania for my entire life, I graduated from Blackhawk High School and Beaver County Career/Technology Center in 2016 before shooting straight into college at the Community College of Beaver County. I studied Culinary Arts as my major, but during my free time I took online courses for English Literature and Writing. Since then, I have written 2 E-Books of my own Poetry, and I am currently working on my first Fiction. Since I was young, I felt a duty to help the generations after me excel in their academic studies, therefore started my volunteer tutoring. As a student who struggled with ADD in school, I understand the hardships of finding a tutor that can truely help. I found this Tutor website and knew that this would help me find a great way to give to the younger generation. First Lesson is always free, that way it gives you, as the student and your parents, the freedom to decide if you would like to continue lessons with me, without losing your hard earned money! And because I know for you as a parent, you get super busy, so I offer free payment reminders via Text Message! So you never have to worry about writing it down! I am currently unable to travel due to a car accident, but I do offer online tutoring via Skype! You can find my username on my profile and feel free to message me anytime and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I hope my profile has helped you get to know who I am, and I look forward to being your next English Tutor! :)

My favorite thing to do in life is learning new things and relaying the things I've learned to other people. I've grown up tutoring my 3 younger siblings and 3 nieces (all in different grades) so I have experience in all kinds of subjects and learning levels. I'm a very comfortable person to talk to and understand. Whether it's helping out with the quadratic formula or teaching a young child how to read Dr. Suess, I'll figure out a way to help them comprehend the task at hand. I look forward to helping out!

I recently finished my master’s degree in Ireland and am looking for a part-time or full-time job opportunity in a fun new exciting area that includes education. I have assisted and lead groups in many different areas, including fisheries and water quality outreach at both large festivals and small events, supervision of summer interns, brainstorming and development of new and existing seafood safety projects, and water quality laboratory maintenance and preparation for fieldwork. I have been a member of clubs, of which I lead several, and held positions in my career that required public speaking and hands-on activities with a large diversity of people. I have extensive experience with computers which includes administrative tasks as well as newsletters, social media, and other outreach tools.
I believe I would be an excellent candidate for online teaching as I obtained most of my undergraduate degree from an online school as well. Teaching diverse groups of people is also very important to me. During my undergrad at my local junior college, I helped implement a new program that brought women (usually mothers) on welfare back into the college system where they were mentored and guided into self-fulfilling careers. Therefore, I understand the importance and unique nature this type of education brings. While I am a huge advocate of online education I believe that my recent experience in a graduate program that involved classroom-based teaching, field laboratory excursions and unique training opportunities could help breathe new life into the online teaching sector. I am a huge believer in constant education and self-development in careers and thus this has led me to become extremely interested in the idea of the online teaching experience.

I have taken Algebra, Algebra 2, Geometry, Math analysis (pre-calculus), Calculus, AP Calculus AB (5/5 on AP test), and Statistics. I helped tutor a student in Algebra 2 while taking Calculus and she was able to do better in class after the extra help she received. I work well with upper-level students who need a little extra help understanding more advanced concepts. I am also able to help students to prepare for final exams and AP tests as stated before I scored a 5/5 on my AP calculus test. As for a background of my education, I graduated 6 of 148, with a GPA of 4,24. I am currently in college studying Engineering with intent to pursue a degree in Aerospace Engineering. My prices are negotiable and I am willing to work with schedules as best as I can. If you have any questions feel free to email me and I will respond as soon as I can.

Hello! I am a second semester senior and am persuing to be a high school math teacher once I graduate in December! I have worked as a T/A when I was in high school, I substitute in Prince William County, VA when I am not in college. I have loads of babysitting experience so I can work well with younger kids. I can travel a little bit to meet with a student. However, I cannot drive longer than 30-45min. I have a really old car that I am trying to nurse through the rest of my undergrad, so I am trying not to put a ton of miles on my car right now. I have loads of experience teaching various subjects in math. I am not an expert in everything, but I am willing to try anything to help your child!
