Hello! My name is Harun K. and I am a recent graduate from Oberlin College. I am looking to tutoring students who are preparing for the SAT. Having scored in the 97 percentile, I can help students earn competitive scores for their dream college!
I am a senior at North Royalton High School planning on pursuing a career in Nursing so I have taken many rigorous science classes. I am very well-rounded in all subject areas. I tutor fellow high school students through National Honor Society and have tutored fourth-grade students in Math previously.
Hello! I teach 3rd grade special education and also service students in grades K-3 to give tier 2 and tier 3 supports to general education classroom students. I am high energy and love kids of all abilities and ages. I am looking to do some after school tutoring, preferably virtually, but I am open to in person as well!

The foucus of attention will be centered the mechanics of legislative acts and their impact on historical and contoversial events in American government. The concept of various political idelologies will be explored and how and why they are incorporated in decision making polocies. A great course for students who are contemplating careers in government, politics, political journalism, political analysis and political think tanks.
I'm a K-6 Math Specialist who has worked with numerous schools in Ohio and across the United States to develop best practices for teaching math! I LOVE teaching teachers how to teach Math!! In fact, the #1 reason students struggle with Common Core Math is because a lack of teacher training. Believe it or not, Common Core Math will improve your child's ability to reason in Math!! Time will fly because I'll make it fun!
I use strategies guaranteed to work with ADHD students! In addition, I teach students self-regulations strategies to manage their ADHD symptoms so that they can be successful in school.
Want to make learning Math and Science fun??? Having a hard time learning LONG division? Well, I can teach you SHORT division!! It's so easy and fun!!! Or, we can do the "division slide" to the song "electric slide." I can guarantee that I can make learning Math fun!
You'll be sure to notice a mindset change after a handful of sessions!
My favorite thing to do in life is learning new things and relaying the things I've learned to other people. I've grown up tutoring my 3 younger siblings and 3 nieces (all in different grades) so I have experience in all kinds of subjects and learning levels. I'm a very comfortable person to talk to and understand. Whether it's helping out with the quadratic formula or teaching a young child how to read Dr. Suess, I'll figure out a way to help them comprehend the task at hand. I look forward to helping out!
A continuation of my very brief personal description, I am a second-year student in college and I double-major in English and History with a bridge in Education. I plan on attaining two bachelor's degrees and teaching licensures in both subjects in four years; afterwards, I plan on attending graduate school to complete my masters degree in Education. I am a member of Sigma Tau Delta, an International English Honors Society, and a member of my college's Women's Center Advisory Board. I am also an avid language learning and am in the process of learning ten different languages (French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portueguese, Esperanto, Turkish, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese). I love to read and write (and research essays happen to be my speciality) and help others. I'm hoping to get started and work with some amazing people!

Hello there!
My name is Callen and I am an online English tutor. I have been tutoring Chinese children for about 1 year. I tutor via a program called Zoom. Most of the children that I tutor have some English experience.
I am looking for a tutoring job for any middle school or high school students. I specialize with algebra 1 and 2, basic statistics and basic chemistry and biology. I can work with you through zoom, FaceTime or any other method you prefer for remote learning. I have a www.*** overall GPA and have taken AP courses since my junior year.
I am currently a masters student at the university of Toledo for middlechildhood education math and science. I am relatively knowledgeable on math and science within the grades 4-9. I have different tutoring methods since every person learns differently. One example of this is the way I show building a formula from a word problem. Looking for keywords and factors. Using our english words like who, what, and where helps us to keep it plain and simple and placing letter variables into the place of the words. Looking at the word problem like a plot of a mystery book that you have to solve. I use that for students who are better in the reading writing area than in math and science.
I am available most evenings and weekends. Price is negotiable. Any further questions, please send me an email at

Hey, I'm Britney. I'm currently a freshman in college. I attended Walsh Jesuit High School. Walsh is a private, college preportory school. I took advanced/honors math throughout my four years at Walsh along with AP Physics 1 my senior year.
English was my second language but i know more of it then arbic. I love reading and enjoy teaching it. I enjoy teaching english (spelling, speaking, & writing) and just helping teenagers & kids in general.
I used to help teach english in after school programs and with my relatives that had just came into www.*** ;
English is an easy subject to me and ive always gotten (A+) through out the year. I have won a few spelling bees and used to be in journalism and take advanced classes.
I enjoy seeing kids understand what they are reading and learning and going to school because they want to not because they are obligated to. I like the satisfaction of knowing a kid is fully understanding what they are learning.
Hi, my name is Taylor. I am 18 and currently attend Michigan State University. I have been tutoring for 4 years and really like to focus learning tailored to the specific student. I used to dread going to certain classes because the teachers would not teach in a way beneficial to me, so i know how important it is to individually tailor lessons to how different brains work.
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I'm working with new students who are in High School or below. I like to usually set down with both the parents and the student to talk about what might be some major concerns that they might have. And try to start off by reviewing what they already know and work from there.
When I'm working with college students. I will usually talk to them about their majors and what they are planning on doing in the future to try and relate to them the best I can.
No matter what age group I'm working with. I'm always trying to find ways to relate what they like to science so they can link positive things to the subject at hand
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a Biology Major at Zane State College. I work with students one on one and in groups. To help break down the chapter subjects that are being asked of them to understand.
I'm a Regional and a State Judge for The Ohio Academy of Science. Where I got to learn and question the projects that the middle schoolers- high schoolers presented.
What types of students have you worked with?
Middle school
High School
Traditional College students
Non-Traditional College Students
Kids and adults with IEP's and other accommodations
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Even If something seems hard. There is always another way of learning it. Don't stop because you don't understand it the first try.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Is it the coursework or just the teaching method you don't understand when being explained something.
My goal as a tutor is not only to assist students who struggle in school, but to help them develop a passion for learning. I am an avid reader and writer and want to help kids become avid readers and writers as well. I will plan my lessons with enjoyable and educational activites pertaining to the student's educational level and interests. I will also plan these lessons for summer to keep student's brains fresh and ready for school in the fall.
I love to color, craft, and find stuff outdoors to do with the kids I watch. My baby sister is 2 and a half, and I often watch her for 2-8 hours, so I know first hand how rough it can be! I was in honors english most of my high school, and I will be going into a statistics major. I often helped my siblings with their homework, and the kids I babysat.
I have three years' experience with tutoring high schoolers and six years' experience with childcare. I am a certified Personal Care Assistant and I own a car. I love helping children and families and work with compassion and patience.
I am Sindhu, an undergraduate at The Ohio State University. I just finished my second year of college and am majoring in Neuroscience. I have been tutoring elementary and middle school kids for almost a year in Math and love it!
