I have been a tutor for many people, mostly with basic homework help elementary school-high school. I am stronger with English and Literature and paper writing. I also have specialities in Psychology and Business.
My favorite thing to do in life is learning new things and relaying the things I've learned to other people. I've grown up tutoring my 3 younger siblings and 3 nieces (all in different grades) so I have experience in all kinds of subjects and learning levels. I'm a very comfortable person to talk to and understand. Whether it's helping out with the quadratic formula or teaching a young child how to read Dr. Suess, I'll figure out a way to help them comprehend the task at hand. I look forward to helping out!
Hello! My name is Leah! I am so excited to work with your toddler aged to high school aged child in most any subject area!
I have my associates degree in secondary education as well as Bible and theology from Emmaus Bible College. I am almost finished with my early childhood education degree from Edinboro University and will be finishing that in May 2018.
I have been in theater for 4 years and playing piano for 17 years.
I am willing to tutor online if possible, but am also more than willing to travel to you or any public place near you.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
I have worked in education for more than 20 years. I've worked with students in all grades in public, independent, charter, and special education schools. Extensive experience with students with ADHD and learning differences. My goal is to help your son or daughter develop the skills and confidence that they need to succeed not just in school, but in whatever they do in their lives.
I have always had a passion for teaching, and I would like to share that passion with others. Currently I am looking for tutoring jobs with children ages 4 – 15. I have experience with non-paid tutoring through an outreach program run by my high school. I can provide help with Math, English, Reading and Writing, and basic arithmetic. I am currently offering virtual sessions through either facetime or zoom. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to set up a session.
I look forward to working with you!
When working with a new student I like to get to know them personally. I try to tailor my approach based on the students needs and wants. I also offer a free “meet - up” session prior to the start of booked sessions. This “meet - up” allows me to get to know the student and discuss what type of learner they would be. Also I would like to review any study materials relevant to future sessions.
Sessions are one hour long and cost $15, and if you agree to 5 sessions the price is $70. I require a 30% deposit one week prior to the session. The rest is required the day of the session. No refunds under any circumstance.
Teaching has always been a passion for me. In addition to tutoring I also volunteer for my religious ministry regularly.
I have had 18+years' experience as a tutor and mentor of higher education writers and have had 8+ years' experience as a writing assistant to ESL and LD individuals in higher education and in the workforce.
Please contact me, at: tel: *** (phone or text message), at: www.*** or by e-mail, at: ***@*** Ithank you very much.
Sincerely,
Matt R.
I attended Suny Fredonia my freshman year of college and while there was a math tutor for high school students in the Upward Bound Program. I then transferred to Canisius College where I studied Early Childhood, Childhood, Middle school education with a concentration in math. At Canisius, I was a math tutor for two years for local elementary and middle school students. I also completed over 200 hours of field experience in variety of settings ranging from child care to an 8th grade class. I have experience teaching indivdiual students, small groups, or whole group as well as differentiating instruction.
As part of my work expereince outside of college, I was a teacher aide for students with special needs for 4 years. I was a private tutor and tutored at Sylvan Learning Center.
My intellectual curiosity, love of learning, and desire to positively impact the lives of others ultimately lead me into the field of education. I believe that the purpose of education is to equip an individual with the necessary tools to problem solve, effectively communicate, and think critically. The quality of education that children receive in their early years is pivotal to their development and success later in life.
I am currently working as a Kindergarten teacher in an inclusive classroom for Baltimore City Public Schools. I hold two Maryland Educator Certificates, in Elementary Education and Special Education. In May 2016, I completed the Master of Arts in Teaching program at Johns Hopkins University. I also have experience working with students with Autism and other special needs.
I believe that as a teacher, I contribute to the development of dynamic and engaging learning environments for students. I look forward to working with your child/student!
I am the Writing Center Director of Lancaster Bible College, as well as an English professor. I have several years of experience tutoring middle, high school, and college students, specifically with writing, English, and Language Arts.
English was my second language but i know more of it then arbic. I love reading and enjoy teaching it. I enjoy teaching english (spelling, speaking, & writing) and just helping teenagers & kids in general.
I used to help teach english in after school programs and with my relatives that had just came into www.*** ;
English is an easy subject to me and ive always gotten (A+) through out the year. I have won a few spelling bees and used to be in journalism and take advanced classes.
I enjoy seeing kids understand what they are reading and learning and going to school because they want to not because they are obligated to. I like the satisfaction of knowing a kid is fully understanding what they are learning.
Hi! My name is Celeste, and I am passionate about helping people! Whether you're learning how to use adjectives and adverbs or how to write an essay, I'm excited to come alongside you and help you meet your goals. With a Bachelor's in English and previous teaching/tutoring experience, I am committed to giving you the best advice and instruction I possibly can while teaching you to think independently and problem-solve on your own.
I am available to meet you in a public location, such as a library or coffee shop, in the Beavecreek area. I am also available for online meetings. Looking forward to it!
My goal as a tutor is not only to assist students who struggle in school, but to help them develop a passion for learning. I am an avid reader and writer and want to help kids become avid readers and writers as well. I will plan my lessons with enjoyable and educational activites pertaining to the student's educational level and interests. I will also plan these lessons for summer to keep student's brains fresh and ready for school in the fall.
I have been tutoring 3 of my fellow students and have seen their grades go from E's and D's To A's and B's with a few C's. If you would like some help email me. I'm completely free of charge.
Professional, reliable instructor/trainer with over thirty years experience as an effective curriculum developer and educator in areas as diverse as music, economics, political science, software training, Hebrew language and Judaic studies.
I love working with people and miss the individual teaching that occurs in a classroom. Currently, I am an administrator in a high school and am looking to get back to working with students. In the past, I have worked with high school and college level students but would also love to work with younger students. I taught English in two high schools and at the university level when I was getting my first master's. I am currently working on my doctorate. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at: ***@***
