Hello. My name is John. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology. I have +9 years of tutoring experience. I took AP Biology in High school and scored 5. (If I can do it, you can too!) Also, I'm a pre-dental student. Recently, I have taken the Dental Admission Test and have reviewed Biology, Chemistry and O-chem for the DAT. Materials for DAT Biology Section and Chemistry Section are identical to AP Biology and AP Chemistry. I can provide private instruction to students to improve academic performance. Also, I can help you develop good study skills and test-taking strategies. I believe good test-taking strategies and study skills are as equally important as learning the material. Good test-taking strategies and study skills will help you as you continue through high school and eventually transition to college.
As stated above, I recently took the Dental Admission Test. My DAT score for biology was 24 (approx. 95th percentile). My DAT score for chemistry was 21 (approx. 85-90th percentile).
I love science and I love sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for science. I know studying for biology and chemistry can be challenging and stressful especially when you are struggling to get good grades. My main goal is for you to understand the materials and develop good study skills and test-taking strategies, but also to help you encourage and motivate you to enjoy learning about biology and chemistry. I find that when you enjoy learning about the materials, more likely to enhance learning experience and better grades. I’m looking forward to meeting you. Feel free to contact me. Thank you.

Hi, I'm Daniel.
I'm a full-time educator here on TutorExtra. I have a degree in Business Economics (from UCLA) with a minor in Accounting.
I specialize in two fields. One is in helping college students with their coursework in Accounting, Finance, and Economics. The second is in exam preparation for highschool students (SATs & APs). I've taught a whole range of subjects though so feel free to check out my credentials in my profile.
Here's a little background about myself. I've worked at a Big 4 Accounting firm, but am now pursuing my passion of teaching full-time. My approach to teaching is unique-- I specialize in helping students understand difficult concepts by providing personable examples and explanations catered specifically to each of them. There hasn't been a single concept that any of my students haven't been able to understand, and the 30+ students I've taught have all told me that my style is very effective and unique.
My teaching philosophy extends beyond just getting through the material--I teach students how to study, prepare for exams, solve exam questions, and maintain/achieve a high GPA. I expect highly of my students to work with me rigorously and, in the long term, develop great studying habits that are prevalent in all high-achieving students.
If my lesson is not satisfactory, I will ensure a money-back guarantee on the first lesson, so please reach out without hesitation.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.

I believe any student can successfully learn a subject if taught in a way that aligns with the student's learning style. I place a lot of importance in aligning with a student's understanding, instead of drilling information into their heads that doesn't make sense at all.
Please contact me at ***@*** with tutoring inquiries, and I will reply to you within 24 hours.
