I graduated from Princeton Unversity, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering in Spring 2018. I am currently applying to medical schools, but have always had a passion for teaching - whereas I began tutoring other students - both younger and the same age as I - as a freshman in high school. I continued during my summer breaks from college, even though I had various internships and research jobs. I am working full-time (40 hours a week) as a clinical research assistant at CHOP, but would love to continue to teach on the side! I love working with everyone from children to young adults. I am willing to work out location, hours, and what services I am willing to provide, depending on the student -- this includes via skype for interested students that are not in the Philadelphia area. Please contact me for interest and pricing and I am sure we can work something out!

My intellectual curiosity, love of learning, and desire to positively impact the lives of others ultimately lead me into the field of education. I believe that the purpose of education is to equip an individual with the necessary tools to problem solve, effectively communicate, and think critically. The quality of education that children receive in their early years is pivotal to their development and success later in life.
I am currently working as a Kindergarten teacher in an inclusive classroom for Baltimore City Public Schools. I hold two Maryland Educator Certificates, in Elementary Education and Special Education. In May 2016, I completed the Master of Arts in Teaching program at Johns Hopkins University. I also have experience working with students with Autism and other special needs.
I believe that as a teacher, I contribute to the development of dynamic and engaging learning environments for students. I look forward to working with your child/student!

I am a junior at Centennial High School and have been enrolled in Advanced Placement(AP) and Gifted and Talented(GT) courses since my freshman year. Throughout middle school, I had interests in math and science classes specifically, but by 8th grade, I was in above grade placement classes in every subject. When I began high school I quickly got involved in theatre arts, videography, photography, and charitable clubs. Although I was forced to retire gymnastics after ten years due to injury, I was able to participate in Varsity Cheerleading my Sophomore year. Academics hold great value to me, specifically the real-world applications of what is taught in school.

Hi! I'm Lauren and I will be a high school junior in the fall. I have a passion for teaching and working with children. I also take a number of AP and honors classes in school.
I am currently offering tutoring sessions online and in-person. In person sessions will have some restrictions, though, due to COVID-19. You can come to me, or I can come to you!
I also have plenty of experience with children. Including-
-YMCA Junior Camp Counselor
-Child Development Class: Students involved with the class get the opportunity to create and teach lessons to preschoolers.
-Classroom Volunteer: I volunteered in an elementary school classroom daily after school during the 2019-2020 school year. I assisted during their math period.
-Reading Buddies: At my local library, I was involved with a program in which I met with a third grader weekly to practice reading and writing skills.
-Nursery Attendant: I worked in a church nursery alongside my sister where we supervised children during the church service.
I would love to work with your child, and I'd love to hear from you soon! Please reach out with any questions or concerns! Thank you!

Hello, I am mirella. I am Italian and I have moved from Italy to the US a few years ago. I live in Baltimore and I also lived in Bologna and London. In Italy I used to be a tenured high school World History teacher. When I moved here I become licensed to teach Social Studies in the united states, and I also thought that it would be fun to teach Italian to English speakers. I have become an excellent teacher of conversational Italian. I now have many students whom I teach in school and privately, in person and on-line. I have put together my own material, which has proven to be an efficient tool to support conversational topics with exercises and a little grammar.
I have become a licensed teacher in the US, ACTFL certified, and trained to teach Italian for AP Exam preparation. I am also familiar with SAT Italian, as well as CILS and CELI certifications. I am comfortable teaching all levels, from beginners to proficient. I look forward to meeting you, Ciao!
