I don't have any Spanish certificate that proves my knowledge, but I was born in Madrid (Spain) and I lived there until 2013. I currently live in Long Beach with my family and we're all from Spain so I speak Spanish every day. I go back three times a year and I love my country so I'd love if my students learned to love it too. I'm a very outgoing person and I have lots of patience. I have 12 years of experience as a teacher and tutor. I believe in finding new and innovative methods of teaching to help students succeed. Each student is unique and what may work for one may not work for another, that is why I take my time to ensure I prepare lessons that are appropriate for each student individually that will help him/her develop the skills needed to improve in class. I have experience working with different age groups and with students with learning disabilities. I have a passion for teaching. I believe every student has the ability to succeed. Sometimes we just need the extra help and someone to care and believe in us to show us the way. I want to continue to be that person for students, someone they can lean on, and help them in their journey to success.

I also have my Red cross-certificate in first aid and I am fully certified to be a nurse assistant. My hours are extremely flexible to what you need most! Hi, I am Lesslie M., I graduated with my Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland. What I love about tutoring is that you can really affect the way a student feels about a subject, when they start understanding more about the subject, they will want to learn more. My goal while tutoring in Math is to get back my students' confidence in their ability to succeed in Math. I will usually work with the curriculum the students are using in their school and before we start working in any homework, we go over the relevant topics for the homework and I always try to connect the topic with something practical they will remember. I was born and raised in Ecuador. While tutoring my students in Spanish I help them pronounce words correctly and teach phrases that are actually used in daily conversations since Spanish is my native language. Hope to hear from you soon.

I am moving around August 5th for my new job. So I will not be available after that unless we work out something online with updated hours due to my new job. I minored in both math and Spanish. I have done higher levels but we will have to discuss those more because I am not as comfortable with them. I can teach basic computer science principles and ideas as well as many languages including C, Java, Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript, ReactJS, and React Native. Prices are negotiable.

I'm Rachel! I recently graduated with a bachelor’s in Sociology from the University of New Hampshire. I graduated with a www.*** GPA. This upcoming spring I will be going back to University to earn a masters in elementary education. Additionally, I’m also certified in EFL through a 120 hour comprehensive course through myTEFL. I have been teaching ESL since July 2020, on an online platform to young students abroad. I absolutely love teaching and being able to support student’s educational journey. In addition to being an ESL instructor, I have also had many tutoring experiences. For three years I was a tutor/mentor in beginner level Spanish, reading, writing, study skills and elementary mathematics for an extracurricular program called Upward Bound.
I am happy to assist and support students, especially during recent circumstances and remote learning. In my tutoring experience I have always focused on a growth mindset as well as a flexible approach that allows students to find what works for them. Through my time tutoring and teaching I have worked with students with a wide variety of learning styles, and through exploring and educating them on their learning styles, we were able to better navigate what the best method was to help them succeed in the subject they were struggling with. I am easy to reach and my schedule is very open and flexible. I’m looking forward to helping students in anyway I can.
