Hello and thank you for checking out my profile.
I have been assisting children and teenagers (ages 8-19) in writing, reading, and homework help for the past four years. Prior to tutoring, I worked with kids since I was fifteen, as a camp counselor during the summers and babysitter (also homework helper) during the academic year. As a recent graduate from UC Santa Barbara, I have just completed my Bachelors in Political Science and Writing and enjoy tutoring in a difficult job market. I hope with my qualifications you consider me and reach out. I have a passion for writing and working with kids and take pride in combining those two skills to help, especially during this disconnected and overwhelming time for www.*** ;
Please message me if you have any questions about my qualifications, experience, or availability.

Hey there! My name is Alexis, of course, you may call me Lexy if you would like, and I am a high school student located in the New Orleans area. I started tutoring about four months ago and have fallen in love with it. I am 100% willing to go above and beyond for your children in making sure they are prepared. I would definitely like a week's notice beforehand and a general idea as to what he/she is learning so I can be fully prepared and give them all the information they need as well as some fun facts to really impress their teachers! Shoot me an email or a message on skype so we can set up a time for a meeting so I can get to know you and your little Einstein. Thank you for your time.
See you soon,

I've been a private tutor for the past 15 years and spent a year training as a Princeton review educator when I was a student at Princeton University (I graduated from the university in 1994). I work with students from kindergarten to adulthood and enjoy tailoring my approach to address each student's concerns and goals. I frequently look to have my students play an active role in uncovering the strategies that works best for them, thinking of them as a member of a two person team. I strive to have my students, whatever age, feel both supported and challenged during our sessions while giving them the tools to feel confident when I'm not around.
In college, I had the opportunity to be an academic fellow. As an Academic Fellow, I meet one on one with the students to help them improve their writing. I found that I enjoy helping people improve their writing and become engaged with the material.
I am willing to help with college writing and creative writing.
I also went to a very competitive high school where I got an International Bacalaureate deploma. I found that the key to doing well in school was feeling engaged with the material. I found that I could do this by staying motivated and a few key study skills. I'm happy to help high school students to become better motived so to impove study skills.
