Hello! Let's start with a bit about my www.***
From 1994-2014, I worked in various US hospitals, where my responsibilities frequently included providing nursing care to Level 1 Trauma and Emergency Unit patients. Most of the patients I took care of suffered from the following: multiple systemic failures or emergencies, ones that included strokes, cardiac rest, poisonings, overdoses, car accidents, head injuries, sexual assaults, gunshot wounds, and stabbings.
I assessed patients and provided necessary and prescribed treatments and medications. I provided lifesaving interventions as part of the multidisciplinary Emergency & Trauma department protocol.
In 2000, I became officially specialized in Emergency & Trauma Medicine through three-part state certified exam. I also became and remained certified in ACLS, PALS and CCRN as well.
While I loved every moment of my practice, unfortunately a savage act of workplace violence brought my ETC career to an early www.*** ;
At first I was crushed, but shortly came to the decision to find a way to continue to help others with my www.*** ;
Three years prior I had began helping nursing students in my area prepare for their state board NCLEX examinations as a second occupatio. So now I began focus on that possibility in earnest. Back in nursing school, I had graduated at the top of my class. And the reasons? I was an excellent test taker, had great study skills and led a very successful independent study group.
So I returned to school and acquired the skills I felt were important that a good tutor should be able to offer her clientele, www.*** proofreading, editing, knowledge of the best research processes for any situation and document creation that included essays, term papers, etc.
But more importantly, I also developed my own strategy to breakdown, analyze and make the CORRECT choice for NCLEX, and subsequently created a study process/program to passing the entire NCLEX exam. And it is EXTREMELY successful--of the twenty-seven students who have completed my program, ALL TWENTY-SEVEN HAVE PASSED SUCCESSFULLY on their first attempt after completing my program.
I look forward to sharing more of my program's success story with you very www.*** ;
I am currently a full time RN in the ER. I made it through nursing school (and the NCLEX) and so can you!
Hi there! My name is Em (Emily) J., and I am a 25 year-old recent gradute of Duke University's ABSN (nursing) program. I also earned a BA in biology from Colby College all the way up in Waterville, ME! I live in beautiful North Carolina where I am about to start working as an oncology nurse at Duke University Hospital. I have a wonderful fiance and an amazing black labrador named Maus.
My tutoring experience is pretty dense; I have been tutoring since I was a sophomore in high school (chemistry and English), and I have continued to tutor in both my undergraduate (biology, chemistry, writing) and graduate (nursing pathophysiology and pharmacology) settings. My tutoring style is very engaging; I absolutely love to teach, but I also like to quiz my students to make sure that they are understanding the material that I am presenting to them. My favorite method is the teach-back method where I ask students to pretend I have no knowledge of the material and teach me what they know. This helps me establish a basis of understanding and helps me to tailor a plan of action with students on an individual basis. I am also very open to questions and feedback, and I always let the student take the reins in terms of planning how the session will proceed.
I am very responsive by email ***@*** or ***@*** and I am more than happy to negotiate on prices! Being a nurse, my schedule will vary week to week, but I am more than happy to try accomodate students' schedules as best as I can. I look forward to hearing from you!

I am a seasoned educator who is student-centered. I have taught and written about nursing for most of my career. I have over 100 publications and two award winning books. When I retired from full-time employment as director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at New York University in 2016, I decided to take creative writing courses with Gotham Writers and wrote short stories, poems, and essays that won contests. That is why I am able to teach essay writing from both an academic and creative perspective. I also taught my own children how to write when they were in high school. Mind you, I never wrote their papers for them, but helped them create and pen their ideas before I gave advice on how to improve their work. My son became an English major in college (what better compliment to me), and my daughter became an attorney.
I have a very lengthy nursing wirk history. With over 26 years of nursing experience, I have held multiple nursing positions ranging from being a bedside nurse, charge nurse, team lead, nurse educator, nursing faculty, NCLEX Review coach virtual and traditional review, clinical nursing instructor, PCT prorgam director, and currently a Magnet Manager.
I have conducted several NCLEX review with a proven tract record. I had 1:1 with student via online and face to face which makes it personalized and individualized per the students' need. My intention is always to make the student confident to achieve their dreams and success. I believe that their success is also my success.
I am looking forward to working and learning with you and let's get your dreams and goal to a reality!
