I have extensive experience in academia and chemical research in medicinal chemistry and have taught undergraduate pre med students and chemistry majors both for lab and course work and also private tutoring for many years. In addition i have published 24 articles in international journals in synthtetic and med chemistry. I have 16 US and international patients. In 2010 i received the green chemistry award from innocentive llc. I worked at mallinckrodt medicinal narcotics, st louis as senior scientist for 12 years and clariant life sciences as senior research scientist for 5 years. In addition i worked as principal chemist specialising in new alzheimer drugs at targacept, llc winston salem for 5 years.
I worked as a Supplemental Instructor and Peer Tutor at Loyola University Chicago. I would reinforce class material and help develop long-lasting study skills. I also work at J at Chicago and help with after school care. I know what it is like to be a student struggling with a class or having to study for a class they hate. I hope to help teach tricks and correlate to real-life make studying more interactive and fun.
Being a tutor and a supplemental instruction leader for the past three years (at Student Center for Academic Achievement) and going to monthly training meetings, I have learned to quickly get the tutee comfortable and gauge their needs to tailor a specific way of tutoring. I believe in challenging yourself and understanding the core basic concepts. I take this same friendly yet motivated attitude to my tutoring sessions to help students achieve their goals academically. Through experience, training, and being a student myself, I have a good grasp at study schedule management and know the importance of different learning tools. Tutoring is a passion of mine and I plan each session ahead of time to cater the student's needs such that the student can get the most out of each session. I'm a fun-loving and confident person who believes that learning should be fun and so I try to make each session interesting. What I love most about tutoring is that both the tutor and the tutee learn during each session and help each other grow. I love to help students achieve their goals and the spark they have once they grasp a concept.
I have had an interest in science since I was 8 years old. I always read on recent research papers since high school. What makes me a good science tutor is the experience as both: a tutor and a student. As a student I know how to study for science topics and how to knit all the things we learn in this subject together. During my undergraduate, I was able to get an A on every science class and graduate as a Summa Cum Laude along with got great reviews from my tutees. I believe that each person has a different perspective and I tailor my tutoring technique to that perspective as well as add a newer one.

I have been studying, teaching and researching in the field of chemistry for over 15 years. I have mentored and conducted multiple review sessions for students. Because of my extensive laboratory experience, I allow the student the visualize a given problem, thus making them much more enjoyable and easier to solve.
I am happy to teach you the fundamentals of chemistry in a way that will be very enjoyable for you and you are not counting the minutes to stop studying. Chemistry takes time to learn, I will make sure you push through the barrier that makes chemistry a difficult subject, and reach a level where you are very comfortable with solving any problem that is presented to you. I am available to help anytime and will respond to your need promptly.
I have helped students from different age groups and backgrounds improve their undestanding of math and the life sciences. (Subjects I've taught: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus BC, Geometry, College Essay Review, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Introductory College Chemistry)
Skilled and experienced tutor with professional experience in the field of Chemistry in roles ranging from laboratory technician to conducting and presenting on original research as a lead author. I have extensive experience working in direct tutoring roles, both as a volunteer for various outreach programs and in the capacity of self-employment. I endeavor to fully invest myself in the success of every student I work with, and I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and see how I can best assist in achieving your educational goals. I look forward to hearing from you.
My name is Michael (but you can call me Alex) and I graduated last year from Wichita State University with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and minors in mathematics, biology, Spanish, and honors. I have been teaching people my entire life from grade school to high school, where I graduated in three years, to college, where I graduated cum laude. The best thing about teaching is when you have a really good lesson and you know that your student will be better off for the time they spent learning.
I am a recent graduate from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana (UIUC). While at UIUC, I tutored for the Health Professions LLC, employed by the university. I gained a lot of experience in tutoring:
- General Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry
- Molecular Biology
- Physics (non-calculus based)
- Behavioral \Neuroscience

Hello! I am excited to start this new chapter in my life. Tutoring has been a passion of mine for the last five years and I hope to practice it despite the pandemic. My expertise in science and five year experience as a tutor qualifies me to be the mediator between you and the knoweldge you strive to acquire. Whether you need help with a difficult general chemistry homework or a whole intorductory course in cell biology, I got you covered.
Hello! My name is Emma and I am a MA candidate at Bryn Mawr College. I am in my second year of my doctorate degree program. I graduated from Cedar Crest College in 2018 with a bachelor's of science in biochemistry. I am currently a teaching assistant for organic chemistry lab and was previously a teaching assistant for the general chemistry laboratory course; I also spent two summers as a teaching assistant and counselor at a summer camp for gifted children.
I am comfortable tutoring multiple disciplines of chemistry, including organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and general chemistry, although if you would need tutoring in other disciplines I would be happy to help.
I am a Junior in college currently earning my undergraduate degree majoring in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry and minoring in Mathematics. I can tutor in various Chemistry and Math subjects including all Chemistry and Math classes in high school, General Chemistry 1 and 2, Organic Chemistry 1 and 2, Calculus 1 and 2, Multivariable Calculus, and Linear Algebra. I can also help students with any Chemistry related lab material as I have completed up to Organic Chemistry 2 lab and am very proficient in my lab knowledge and protocol. I believe that teaching others the material in a class is the best way to master the subject, which is why I want to tutor. I also am going to Graduate school after I receive my Bachelors and hopefully PhD school to eventually conduct my own research and teach as a professional.
Hello my name is Aqsa,
I am currently on the premed track and am interested in becoming a pediatrician. I am majoring in Physiology and Neurobiology and minoring in Psychology at UCONN, Storrs. I really enjoyed Organic Chemistry which is why I am interested in tutoring. I am a very patient and enthusiastic person.
I am the oldest in the family so I am always helping my siblings with homework. My freshmen year I volunteered at the Mansfield Middle School and I helped a student with his homework, which encompassed a variety of subjects including Spanish, Reading, Writing, and Math.
I am a certified phlebotomist technician. I volunteer at my local hospital and am currently researching in an autistic lab. Other than that I am currently a junior and so I have 2 more years left and am planning on taking the MCAT next Summer!
Hey,
I am Aya and I can be the one to help you overcome come your difficulties in the Math and Science subjects. I had always had a passion for teaching, especially subjects I love. I can work with kids or teenagers and help them become independant learners and gain confidence in themselves.
My face lit up with pure joy and I could not stop smiling. I just witnessed one of my students screech with satisfaction as she solved a laborious organic chemistry problem. She says, “I guess organic chemistry isn’t too bad after all."
I love to teach, so I can help students realize their capabilities just as this student and experience more of these heartening moments. In this moment, I knew I had a joy and passion for teaching. I long to see students excel, to exceed expectations of others and of themselves. I desire to help students reach their potential. I share a love for education, and I share a love for knowledge. I believe all students have an aptitude greater than what any one person labels them, because a student may not know their full potential until they believe in themselves, in their abilities. I would love to help students to embody the notion that their hard work defines them, an individual, not a presumption.
Hello! I am a recent college graduate who spent two years tutoring at the campus educational resource center. I majored in biology and have experience tutoring science and math courses of various levels. Many students are hesitant to discuss their lack of understanding with peers or professors, especially when they are unable to articulate their point of confusion. That's where I come in! I'm here to help in whatever way I can whether that means going in depth into one concept or simply building the confidence to tackle difficult problems. I don't have one specific teaching style because I want to be able to guide students toward a better understanding of the material in the way that works best for them. Together let's work toward that lightbulb moment!
I am a recent college graduate looking to tutor in mathematics and science from highschool to college level.
