I am a 20 year old girl who is very seasoned at dealing with kids and their flexible minds! I have been babysitting since I was 12 and love to watch the experience children have with learning. Although I am a high school student, I have had many experiences with tutoring and tutored my self. I am mostly skilled at math but I can help your child in any subject. The difference between other tutors and I is my learning techniques are diffrent. For example me and the child can do educational games insted of books. I relize that some kids choice not to listen because they dont seem to be intrested. There are amazing websites with fantastic games we can do.

Looking to help with any elementary school subjects. I am a certified childhood and childhood special education teacher.
Highly qualified reading consultant and special education teacher. Thirty-five years plus experience, at the elementary, secondary and university level. Masters in both reading and special educational additional cerifications in both Wilson and Orton Gillingham. Available to tutor all subjects K-12 and university level English and study skills.
Currently, I am finishing my fourth full year of teaching elementary school. I am a 5th grade special education teacher in an integrated co-teaching classroom. For two years, I previously taught grades 1-3, so I have experience working with younger and older elementary aged students. I am familiar with the curriculum across all elementary grades. Starting for the Summer 2018, I can easily accommodate schedules, as mine is very flexible and open.
I have taught elementary math for four and a half years. This past school year, I've had numerous PD's on elementary math. I work in small group and whole group settings during math, and differentiate instruction using manipulatives, visuals, and other ways to engage students.
This past year I have worked very closely with the reading teacher at my school, to improve both reading and writing in the classroom. Reading is heavily emphasized in the classroom, and is something the students practice every day. I use the practices of having both small groups, and whole class reading. I use a "I do" "we do" "you do" approach to reading, so students are able to see the model, practice as a class, and complete work independently.
Phonics is practiced closely in the younger grades, but still incorporated into my 5th grade lessons. For my lower students, I work both in small group and 1:1 settings to improve phonics and fluency. I do this by reading books, using flash cards, using illustrations, and charts.
Students practice spelling by using flash cards, illustrations, and participating in engaging and effective educational games.
I have an open schedule and am willing to accommodate any time during the week to meet.
This is a church owned learning center. We conduct all our classes at the church's location, also via Zoom
I am a 30 year old educator from New York who has been working as a teaching assistant and tutor for over ten years. My experience ranges between children still in primary school all the way up to college/university level students. I have experience teaching ELA (English Language Arts), Reading, Writing, Essays, College Prep/Admissions, New York State Regents Exams, SAT Prep, Creative Writing, and more. I also have experience tutoring basic Music Theory and elementary school level Mathematics and history, but English is my best subject and also one that I am the most passionate about.
I consider myself to be an empathetic and patient person. I have worked with students from all sorts of backgrounds and walks of life, and my experience has taught me that everyone learns differently. The best approach to teaching is to have patience, empathy, and understanding. If a student doesn't learn something the first time around, then perhaps they simply need it to be explained differently, or to find a method that works the easiest for their personal comprehension and ability.
I am extremely flexible with my time and prices, so please do not hesitate to contact me solely based on the prices you may see posted above. They are absolutely negotiable, as I am more concerned about helping those who need tutoring than a set price range.
I look forward to hearing from you, and look forward to working together to help you reach your personal academic goals! Talk to you soon!
