I attended Suny Fredonia my freshman year of college and while there was a math tutor for high school students in the Upward Bound Program. I then transferred to Canisius College where I studied Early Childhood, Childhood, Middle school education with a concentration in math. At Canisius, I was a math tutor for two years for local elementary and middle school students. I also completed over 200 hours of field experience in variety of settings ranging from child care to an 8th grade class. I have experience teaching indivdiual students, small groups, or whole group as well as differentiating instruction.
As part of my work expereince outside of college, I was a teacher aide for students with special needs for 4 years. I was a private tutor and tutored at Sylvan Learning Center.
I am a special education teacher at my local high school. I started my own tutoring business during March of 2020, when we were in the midst of the pandemic. I have over 10 years of experience with tutoring and teaching young children.
I am a retired elementary school teacher. I would like to tutor and/or provide support for virtual learning to a child in grades K through 6. It is important to know and understand the children in my care and to make learning fun. I believe in finding the place where a child is successful and building on that success.
Hello! I have my master’s degree and certification in PreK-12 reading specialist and instructional coaching. I am also certified in K-6 elementary teaching. I have over ten years of experience working with a diverse range of ability levels. I enjoy working with readers and writers of all ages and can assist whether the struggle is in reading comprehension or decoding (sounding out the words on the page). I am very familiar with dyslexia and use The Science of Reading as the framework for everything I teach in ELA. I also have experience working with gifted students and can help them excel with 1:1 instruction.
I prefer to work with struggling mathematicians in grades K-5.
How it works? I would first set your child up for a FREE evaluation. After, I would be able to pinpoint gaps in their foundational skills and create an individualized learning plan. Lessons thereafter, can be as often as you prefer.
My availability:
Sunday and Saturday- All Day
Monday-Thursday- 3:30-9:00pm
Rates-$60-$85/hour

I am a retired, PA certified sixth grade teacher of 35 years. Although I am retired, I enjoy continuing my work and connection with young people. My retirement experiences have included the nannying of school age children and the tutoring of a variety of school age children from first to eighth grade in all manner of school subjects. I emphasize the importance of learning and the use of good study skills. I will work with the school systems if necessary and strenghten relationships between the child and the school. In addition to my academic tutoring, I also teach children and adults how to sew.
I am available to tutor. I have 2 NJ teaching certificates, Elementary Education K-8 and Social Studies K-12. I have 30 years teaching experience . A continuation of my very brief personal description, I am a second-year student in college and I double-major in English and History with a bridge in Education. I plan on attaining two bachelor's degrees and teaching licensures in both subjects in four years; afterwards, I plan on attending graduate school to complete my masters degree in Education. I am a member of Sigma Tau Delta, an International English Honors Society, and a member of my college's Women's Center Advisory Board. I am also an avid language learning and am in the process of learning ten different languages (French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portueguese, Esperanto, Turkish, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese). I love to read and write (and research essays happen to be my speciality) and help others. I'm hoping to get started and work with some amazing people!

I wanted to clarify a few things. I have received two Associate's degrees from Raritan Valley Community College. One in Liberal Arts and the other in Food and Beverage Management. I am currently majoring in Chemistry and Mathematics and have been accepted to Rider University with a full scholarship to continue my education in Chemistry. I have screenshots of my transcript from RVCC with most of the college courses that I have taken and the grades I have received. This website only let's you post 4 pictures so I tried to post as many as I could. I have a cumulative GPA of 3. 41 and I was awarded a scholarship from the American Chemical Society to continue my education in Chemistry. I would also like to say that I'm a single mother of one child and I'm just trying to make some extra money while going to school. Give me a chance and I would love to share my knowledge with you!

I have always had a passion for teaching, and I would like to share that passion with others. Currently I am looking for tutoring jobs with children ages 4 – 15. I have experience with non-paid tutoring through an outreach program run by my high school. I can provide help with Math, English, Reading and Writing, and basic arithmetic. I am currently offering virtual sessions through either facetime or zoom. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to set up a session.
I look forward to working with you!
When working with a new student I like to get to know them personally. I try to tailor my approach based on the students needs and wants. I also offer a free “meet - up” session prior to the start of booked sessions. This “meet - up” allows me to get to know the student and discuss what type of learner they would be. Also I would like to review any study materials relevant to future sessions.
Sessions are one hour long and cost $15, and if you agree to 5 sessions the price is $70. I require a 30% deposit one week prior to the session. The rest is required the day of the session. No refunds under any circumstance.
Teaching has always been a passion for me. In addition to tutoring I also volunteer for my religious ministry regularly.
Hello, I am Jeri and I am so excited to meet you! I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Notre Dame College in Cleveland, Ohio. I have been teaching for about 5 years, but I have been working with children for a little over 7 years now. I have instructed both 3rd and 4th grade classes fulltime, and tutored students in all elementary grade levels. Throughout the two years I have taught third grade, I have successfuly helped all of my students pass Ohio's Third Grade Reading Gaurantee required test scores. Besides teaching, some of my passions in life are sports, the outdoors, traveling, and animals. I am a very energetic teacher, and I love making kids laugh or smile while they are learning. My teaching style is very dynamic, as I work to accommodate my students learning styles and interests. My availabilty can be flexible, however I have posted the days and times that are the most open.
I have always had a great passion for helping others and being in the classroom. In deciding on a profession, I chose to follow my passion of leading, teaching, and helping others. While my primary focus for my degree is Secondary Education with a specialization in history, I have extensive experience tutoring children from preschool through high school. Likewise, I babysit and nanny children from infancy through middle school. During my time in high school, I was a member of the National Honor Society and the Italian Honor Society. I was also an ambassador for the National Society of High School Scholars. I was also a member of the Peer Mentor organization and a club called PUSH/REBEL. These organizations focused on teaching the youth of the community the dangers of getting involved with or using illegal substances and helped immerse students in positive leadership and educational activities. As a college student, I work for a tutoring company and tutor English Language Arts, History, Chemistry, and Algebra. I also work for a nanny company. It is my hope that I can connect with more students and have the opportunity to work with more children through TutorExtra.
I am a 5th grade special education teacher looking to tutor all subjects in grades K-5. Certified in both Elementary Education K-8 and Teacher of the Handicapped K-12. Looking to tutor in my home or local library.
