Please excuse me as I attempt to squeeze as much info as I can into a rather limited space: I am also currently a substitute teacher for LA Unified with a Multiple Subject Credential and a Special Ed Credential (MM) for grades K to 12th. I work well with students with learning challenges, as I am told I have a disarming and patient manner. I am a published poet and guide students in either early literacy to advanced writing skills, as well as World History. As a teen, I travelled throughout Europe on my own with a British aunt and uncle in Rome as my home base. I am therefore multi lingual and multi cultural. I am steeped in Asian culture as well, having had a step father who was Chinese. I have travelled to Japan many times. I am a classically trained violinist and have played in many quartets, ensembles, and orchestras. Having had training in singing, I have performed opera with the Marina Singers. I was a dance instructor for Fred Astaire Studios and went to Dapplegray Riding School in Palos Verdes Peninsula when I was young. I have taught Spanish, and Drawing & Watercolours in Bellflower Adult school. However, I am first and foremost an artist with a growing portfolio of drawings, aquarelles, pastels and paintings. I am also engaged in the writing of several supernatural tales for children and a rather satirical novel. I am on staff at the Source Seeker an actors workshop where we train people to do cold readings, commercials, and voice overs, writing scripts to train our students, having written several in French while at the Sorbonne in Paris. Born in Europe I was raised in Newport Bay.

Hello, there amazing fellow humans! My name is George E. I have over 15+ years of internationally combined experience in teaching Spanish. I also have experience in teaching in schools all other general subjects. I am confident I can help you and/or your child on your educational journey towards becoming fluent in Spanish. Here is more about my skills, experience and how I can help you.
NOTE: I am willing to Travel Further than a 10-mile radius if the tutoring is a 2-hr minimum. :)
I am bilingual in Spanish. I took 6 years of Advanced placed Spanish courses. I have been a translator for international groups. I have done translation work with the Peruvian government. I know the in's and out's and mechanics of the Spanish language and can teach it in a way that tailors to different learning styles (i. e. , if you're a visual learner, we can use more visual aids and etc.).
I also have previous experience as a journalist and am a published writer and have written for The Huffington Post for the last 5 years and also currently write with Elite Daily.
I am finishing my Master's Degree in Social & Cultural Theory from The University of Staffordshire. I have taught in primary and secondary schools (internationally), universities, and in online courses. I have also taught philosophy.
I am confident I can meet your needs.
I have worked with toddlers to adults, to students with special needs. I love what I do. Its imparting knowledge, a new perspective and inspiring others that makes this incredibly important to me.
So, how can I help you? I bring the 6-years of educational training. I was raised by a native Hispanic speaker. I have over 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience combined. I have been a translator for governments, community groups, and churches that travel to Hispanic speaking countries.
I teach to your learning style. Whether that be tactile, auditory, visual and/or a combination I am laid-back but use goals and benchmarks as a way to guide and encourage your Spanish speaking journey. Get in touch today!

I am a licensed teacher of Foreign Languages, Specialist in Pedagogy and currently I am attending a Master’s Degree in Education; with experience in teaching Research Methodology and English at all levels, as virtual as face-to-face. I have taught children, teens and adults in small and large groups which has allowed me to gain experience and knowledge in lesson planning, material design and teaching research.
Similarly, I am a very responsible, dynamic and creative teacher with additional experience in the use of technological tools as a means of support to my classes and in teaching pronunciation to English learners and teachers. I have worked in national bilingualism projects and have worked as an English teachers' Trainer and giving academic and didactic strategies on English teaching methodology and trends.
Finally, I want to say that teaching is a process that not only involves knowledge, but also it is a process that requires an enormous amount of love in every single part of this process. Fortunately, I have learned to identify this characteristic and apply it into my daily life. And this is something that I did not learn at any Institution, this is something that is going to be with me for the rest of my life because I learned it from the best teacher; I learned it from my Mother.
Once I started to understand this, apparently, simple concept, then I fell in love with my job; I see students as my own children and my colleagues as brothers. I do understand that becoming a Teacher is a matter of meeting a long list of requirements, and I do not want to change that but I want to let you know that I meet a requirement that could be as necessary as all the ones you are asking for, even when it is not seen as a “requirement”: I really love teaching.
Thanks for reading my words.
