I have been working as a volunteer teacher and tutor since 2013. I have experience working with students ages 4-20. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and hope to nurture a love for learning in all of my students. One of my greatest wishes is that one day, thorough education will be provided for ALL children.
A little bit about me:
I grew up in a little town in the Bay Area of California. When I was a child, my family and I moved to San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico, to do volunteer work. It was here, with its rich art history and gorgeous natural beauty, that I discovered my love for travel and the benefits that nature and creativity can have when implemented into education. Although I love California and Mexico, I also love upstate New York, which has been my home for the past five years. I love the outdoors and making art in my spare time, and I am a huge animal lover!
I hope that you will choose me to help educate your child, and I look forward to working with you! I will do my very best to meet any of your child's needs.
Hola. My name is Nadia and I am originally from Spain. I grew up in the United States and studied at Manhattanville for my undergraduate and then my Masters. I have been teaching for the last 7 or so years, at Manhattanville as an Adjunct Professor, at an International school teaching for the IB diploma and now at the AP level as well as Middle School.
I love sharing my language and culture with those that would like to learn Spanish. I am available most afternoons and most weekends.
Please let me know what works best for you!
I have been educating for over 16 years where I started as a preschool teacher at my local vocational school when I was junior and senior in High School. During this experience, I knew I loved helping students learned and wanted to be a teacher. Since then, I have gained more experience tutoring students one-on-one and in small settings to ensure they receive the attention they need to succeed. Today, I am not in a general classroom but I still do what I a can to help my students reach their academic goals.

I am currently a college graduate with a bachelor's in English. English was my first language, and I wanted to expand my understanding in it. I enjoy teaching others how to communicate and increase their knowledge in every aspect of the English language. With my super organized learning criteria and one-on-one interaction, I will make sure students learn how to read, write, and speak in English.
I am a former journalist and editor who had the privilege of working for the best: Reuters, ABCNews and Bloomberg are some of the places where I honed my craft and had the opportunity to work with the masters. What I learned at these places was eventually, how to trust my own instincts and words and then to mold those elements into whatever writing task I was required to do. My goal as a writing tutor is to demystify the process -- because contrary to popular opinion, writing is fun -- and easy -- if approached in the right way. As an academic coach, I will help you discover and find your thesis, clarify if further research is needed and help you learn to structure your essays and papers. As a creative writing teacher, I will help you find the stories, screenplays, speeches and essays that already live inside www.*** schedule and rates are flexible! I am also available to conduct group workshop.

Hello! I have been teaching chemistry for 2 years. Throughout college, I tutored other students in chemistry classes. I worked as a TA for a general chemistry class. I enjoy teaching because it is awesome to see how my students grow over time. It is so rewarding to see a student work hard and succeed because of that hard work. I believe that every student can achieve their learning goals, some just need a little extra support to get there.
