As far as it comes to general education: I've been there, and I've done that. Having said that, I'd like to denote the absolute importance of true learning and actual knowledge of a subject - something that is difficult to ascertain in a classroom where you are simply going through the motions of socialisation.
So if you're looking to cut through the mundane and get a deeper understanding of some material, or if you're looking for someone to help you game the system to turn busy work into light work - then I'm your guy.
Also, don't be discouraged by the thought that I won't be able to translate the material well to someone that isn't accustomed to AP classes, rather, consider it like so: I can help provide that deeper "AP analysis and understanding" without all of the "rigor", or rather, all the busy work, cramming material, www.*** it as getting a taste of an AP experience through a much friendlier, understanding, and eloquent medium that has seen what works and what doesn't work in terms of teaching students, and can therefore pick and choose the good from the bad to help you make sense of the www.*** said that, here are some of my credentials:I've taken 11 APs throughout my high school career:-AP Economics (5/4)-AP Lang and Comp (5)-AP Calc BC (3)-AP Physics 1 (3)-AP US History (5)-AP Psych (4)-AP Lit and Comp (-)-AP Comp Sci A (-)-AP Statistics (-)-AP Physics C (-)-AP French Lang (-)I have a 97(dot)91/100 weighted GPA, which translates in practicality to a 4(dot) www.*** seems this website censors dots as websites, which is a bit odd.

I am a retired, PA certified sixth grade teacher of 35 years. Although I am retired, I enjoy continuing my work and connection with young people. My retirement experiences have included the nannying of school age children and the tutoring of a variety of school age children from first to eighth grade in all manner of school subjects. I emphasize the importance of learning and the use of good study skills. I will work with the school systems if necessary and strenghten relationships between the child and the school. In addition to my academic tutoring, I also teach children and adults how to sew.

I also have experience working with gifted students and can help them excel with 1:1 instruction.
I prefer to work with struggling mathematicians in grades K-5.
How it works? I would first set your child up for a FREE evaluation. After, I would be able to pinpoint gaps in their foundational skills and create an individualized learning plan. Lessons thereafter, can be as often as you prefer.
My availability:

I wanted to clarify a few things. I have received two Associate's degrees from Raritan Valley Community College. One in Liberal Arts and the other in Food and Beverage Management. I am currently majoring in Chemistry and Mathematics and have been accepted to Rider University with a full scholarship to continue my education in Chemistry. I have screenshots of my transcript from RVCC with most of the college courses that I have taken and the grades I have received. This website only let's you post 4 pictures so I tried to post as many as I could. I have a cumulative GPA of 3. 41 and I was awarded a scholarship from the American Chemical Society to continue my education in Chemistry. I would also like to say that I'm a single mother of one child and I'm just trying to make some extra money while going to school. Give me a chance and I would love to share my knowledge with you!

Growing up in the public school system, I realized its greatest fault is an apathy towards learning. Instructors merely teach towards a test, students are judged only by their ability to score high on exams. While it is a tutor's main goal to bring those scores up, I hope to create a learning environment in which students genuinely enjoy the material and become actively curious about the subjects they are exposed to. Whether it's biology, chemistry, math, or writing, I aim to not only teach my students, but to engage them and lead them to an ongoing interst in their fields of study.
To contact me, please call or text at tel: *** , I will be able to reply much faster via the phone than I will through the website.
Taking students of all ages and abilities. The weekday times of availability are tentative and flexible, please let me know what times work for you!

Currently, I am finishing my fourth full year of teaching elementary school. I am a 5th grade special education teacher in an integrated co-teaching classroom. For two years, I previously taught grades 1-3, so I have experience working with younger and older elementary aged students. I am familiar with the curriculum across all elementary grades. Starting for the Summer 2018, I can easily accommodate schedules, as mine is very flexible and open.
I have taught elementary math for four and a half years. This past school year, I've had numerous PD's on elementary math. I work in small group and whole group settings during math, and differentiate instruction using manipulatives, visuals, and other ways to engage students.
This past year I have worked very closely with the reading teacher at my school, to improve both reading and writing in the classroom. Reading is heavily emphasized in the classroom, and is something the students practice every day. I use the practices of having both small groups, and whole class reading. I use a "I do" "we do" "you do" approach to reading, so students are able to see the model, practice as a class, and complete work independently.
Phonics is practiced closely in the younger grades, but still incorporated into my 5th grade lessons. For my lower students, I work both in small group and 1:1 settings to improve phonics and fluency. I do this by reading books, using flash cards, using illustrations, and charts.
Students practice spelling by using flash cards, illustrations, and participating in engaging and effective educational games.
I have an open schedule and am willing to accommodate any time during the week to meet.

I have always had a passion for teaching, and I would like to share that passion with others. Currently I am looking for tutoring jobs with children ages 4 – 15. I have experience with non-paid tutoring through an outreach program run by my high school. I can provide help with Math, English, Reading and Writing, and basic arithmetic. I am currently offering virtual sessions through either facetime or zoom. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to set up a session.
I look forward to working with you!
When working with a new student I like to get to know them personally. I try to tailor my approach based on the students needs and wants. I also offer a free “meet - up” session prior to the start of booked sessions. This “meet - up” allows me to get to know the student and discuss what type of learner they would be. Also I would like to review any study materials relevant to future sessions.
Sessions are one hour long and cost $15, and if you agree to 5 sessions the price is $70. I require a 30% deposit one week prior to the session. The rest is required the day of the session. No refunds under any circumstance.
Teaching has always been a passion for me. In addition to tutoring I also volunteer for my religious ministry regularly.
