Dr. Beth S. currently teaches AP Music Theory for Georgia Virtual School and she is also the AP Music Theory Curriculum Writer and Subject Matter Expert for the University System of California. Before her current positions, she was the Director of Bands, for ten years, at Southern Polytechnic State University (SPSU) in Marietta, Georgia, and received the Outstanding Faculty Award in 2011, and named Governor’s Teaching Fellow in 2012. Dr. S. earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and Horn Performance from The Boston Conservatory of Music; a Master’s Degree in Horn Performance from Oklahoma City University; and her Doctoral Degree in Music Education from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA. She also privately teaches French horn, performs, and is the Guest Conductor with the Peachtree Wind Ensemble. |
