Accomplished bilingual (Spanish-English) higher education Full Professor with a doctorate in Electrical

Engineering and 20+ years of higher education teaching experience in a variety of subjects such as Statistics. A creative facilitator

of learning. Seeking to leverage my breadth of cross-functional expertise and multidisciplinary

knowledge to help the achievement of my students' learning goals.

My preferred teaching method is "learner-centered." My role is to facilitate learning rather than

delivering teaching, by putting principles and my own experience into practice in order to

encourage and support the students to take responsibility for their own learning. Besides being

a source of knowledge, as a learning facilitator, I guide the students towards resources and

sources of knowledge. From the beginning, I set clear goals and objectives, require active

participation from the students and provide constant assessment and feedback.
