I am currently a sophomore at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa and I am majoring in Spanish and minoring in Civic Engagement. My future dreams are to work for a non profit that works with women and children or immigrants. I have taken 7 Spanish classes, 6 in high school, and one in college, Spanish 205. Based on my placement test scores, I was placed into Spanish 301, but I opted to take 205 to make it easier to adjust to college Spanish classes. I have traveled to Costa Rica twice, and will be going to Spain in the spring. I have volunteered through my high school to teach beginning Spanish to elementary school students, and have also helped my Spanish teachers after school, and helped tutor the beginning level high school Spanish students. |
