I have tutored students from pre-dchool all the way through juniors in high school. During my years at Canisius, I completed over 200 hours of field work. I also was selected to teach in Spain for three weeks. I have had to write and teach lessons and assess students. I have learned many different methods of teaching and tailor my teaching methods in a way that is best for the student I also was a teacher aide for students with special needs during the summer for a summer school program. I did this for four years. I have a strong interest in children with autism. As a tutor, I take time to form a relationship with both the student and parent. I encourage both the student and parent to take an active role in the tutoring process. I tailor my lessons to what the parent indetifies as a area of development and the student. |
