Thanks for checking out my profile. My name is Cam E., and I'm a 15 year old freshman trombonist.
Music is something I'm passionate about. Trombone is my forte, and I've been playng since 5th grade.
My greatest hope for putting myself out here on this webiste is that I can get the wonderful oppurtunity to share my gift of music with other young musicians with lessons/tutoring. I believe that it is my mentors and teachers that have really made me the musician and person I am today.
Whatever you/your child needs help with, whether it be band-related stuff, audition prep, or just general learning about trombone, I would LOVE to be able to help, I beleive it is especially important during this pandemic to have music stay important in our lives.

The University of Wisconsin-Stout is known as Wisconsin's polytechnic university as it puts an extra emphasis on hands-on experience. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science with a concentration in Mathematics Education. While there, I took courses in Calculus (Calculus 1, 2, and 3), Linear Algebra, Statistics, Geometry, Abstract Algebra, Graph Theory, and Real Analysis. I also took education classes including Math Education Methods, Inclusions of Students with Special Needs, Multiculturalism, Classroom Management, Curriculum and Assessment, 2 semesters of pre-student teaching (1 semester in high school, one in middle school), and a semester of full-time student teaching (one quarter in high school, one quarter in middle school). I also tutored students for 2 years while at the university, working mostly with students in lower-level, remedial mathematics. It was a fantastic program, where I learned and grew a lot.

Hello! My name is Lydia and I'm an academically strong junior with 5+ years of tutoring other students. I received full scores on both of the math sections of the PSAT in 2019 and a 5 out of 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam in May 2020. I strive to help my students develop a deeper understanding of the content they are learning, not just the ability to mindlessly copy steps without knowing what they're really doing. Parents love that I keep everything for their student organized in a Google Sheet (sort of a parent portal), so they can easily access payment records, lesson reports, and additional notes/practices for their students via the linked Drive folder. Everything I do is customized and parents can choose what type of tutoring they would like me to perform-- simple homework help, teaching or reteaching a lesson, filming and sending short videos of problems that students can replay on their own time, etc. I work well with below level, on level, and gifted students as I have worked with dozens of students, including some with special needs, who struggle to grasp mathmatical concepts and need them explained in different ways and/or visualized, but I was classified as a gifted student myself, testing into several gifted programs in elementary school and ultimately skipping a grade in middle school.
For the time being, I am only doing online tutoring via Zoom-- it is the safest way to tutor during the pandemic and just as effective as in person tutoring since I can use custom created slideshows and annotation tools to walk students through problems.
