I excelled in Economics, my strongest is Global Business and Macroeconomics. I am also extremely well rounded in managerial accounting, accounting, personal finance, network and security, data management and business strategy. I am an excellent essay writer and am familiar with both APA and MLS formatting. I am strong in math. Algebra and Statistics are my stronger math. I love science. I can tutor just about any science. My passion is biological sciences such as anatomy and physiology, ecology, biology and microbiology.
I prefer working online. We can do a goto meeting or facetime. Preferrably goto meetings because it gives me access to a computer screen. If you need face to face, I can meet at a Starbucks or public library. I am willing to meet most places in Los Angeles County, Orange County and Riverside County. I'm a full-time educator here on TutorExtra. I have a degree in Business Economics (from UCLA) with a minor in Accounting.
I specialize in two fields. One is in helping college students with their coursework in Accounting, Finance, and Economics. The second is in exam preparation for highschool students (SATs & APs). I've taught a whole range of subjects though so feel free to check out my credentials in my profile.
Here's a little background about myself. I've worked at a Big 4 Accounting firm, but am now pursuing my passion of teaching full-time. My approach to teaching is unique-- I specialize in helping students understand difficult concepts by providing personable examples and explanations catered specifically to each of them. There hasn't been a single concept that any of my students haven't been able to understand, and the 30+ students I've taught have all told me that my style is very effective and unique.
My teaching philosophy extends beyond just getting through the material--I teach students how to study, prepare for exams, solve exam questions, and maintain/achieve a high GPA. I expect highly of my students to work with me rigorously and, in the long term, develop great studying habits that are prevalent in all high-achieving students.
