Tutor, Teacher, Instructor

I'm very passionate about helping more students with their subjects and I'm very eager to devote my time working as a tutor. I will keep my attention on finding the ways to explain concepts that are best suitable to a student. I've been tutoring all STEM subjects since my junior highschool and it turned out that the results of my tutoring were very good as all my students had a much better understanding of course concepts and become more efficient in solving problems. If you choose me to help you in any subjects listed, I promise I will not let you down because I have confidence in myself and I have confidence in every student who comes to find me.
For online tutoring: Zoom is preferred.

I am a rising Senior at Dunwoody High School who is highly academically driven and successful. I have a great passion to impact the world around me for the better which has invoked my love for tutoring and helping others learn especially when they are struggling.
For years I have been helping many of my friends when they are struggling and have even begun to organize study groups leading up to stressful exams. Since 6th grade, I have been making study sets on Quizlet which I share with all of the students in my class to help them study for various tests. From this, I have become popular as "JacobD.!!!" or "The Quizlet guy." Recently, I have joined the National Honor Society and the Science National Honor Society. In these clubs, I have obtained many volunteer hours tutoring elementary schoolers or even younger high schoolers in previous subjects.
At my school, I have gone through the Spanish pathway taking AP Spanish Language and Culture. Therefore, I can speak Spanish and may be able to communicate with any nativespeaking parents or students if necessary.
Some other clubs I do are crosscountry and robotics.

Jihu L.
Tutor, Teacher, Instructor

Hello! I can go by Jihu or Ella (middle name). I graduated from The Waterford School in the spring of 2019, and am taking a gap year before I head to college at the University of Southern California in the fall of 2020. I have always loved reading, and during my high school experience, I grew to love analytical discussions of books. I also love writing, so proofreading is a great way for me to help others enhance their skills and clarity in writing.
I came to love math as well, especially AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC even more. I would love to tutor math because it is often the source of many struggles and I want to help make students' experience in math better.
I have also been playing the violin for seven years now, and plan to continue in college. The violin is one of my favorite hobbies/passions, and I would love to share that with others who also love music.
*Other notes: Time, student age range, and cost are flexible and can always be adjusted accordingly.

I enjoy working with people who are eager to learn, and more importantly, eager to pass tests. School is often a difficult setting, but with the right tools, you can succeed. I offer a variety of skills to not only guide students through problems, but to further deepen their understanding and have them discover how to apply new concepts in the future. Although I especially enjoy teaching calculus topics, I am able to tutor for any math subjects, including trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and more. I use interesting and engaging methods to explain difficult ideas to those in need. I have experience making abstractions clear for countless friends and family members, and I look forward to continuing with new people.

Tutor, Teacher, Instructor

I have recently graduated from RutgersNewark with a double major in Mathematics and Physics. I have been passionate about teaching math ever since I tutored math and physics. Despite extensive experience working in electronics communications, my most rewarding job has been teaching high school math in a summer program to prepare students for college. My practical experience in electronics as well as my background in Physics helps me to both understand and explain applications of mathematics.
I am able to teach a wide range of both high school and collegelevel math ranging from algebra and calculus I, II, and III to linear algebra, differential equations, and partial differentials among others. Having received a 780 on my SATs and having recently engaged in test preparation as part of the high school college prep summer program, I am experienced in tutoring SAT mathematics as well. Furthermore, I am fluent in Spanish and am both capable of and willing to tutor math in Spanish.
I have now been tutoring intermittently for 15 years. I am highly qualified in mathematics and physics, I am patient and passionate to help anyone seeking assistance in a wide range of mathematics and physics. I am looking forward to helping you understand and gain the confidence to achieve more in your education.
