I enjoy teaching and sharing my passion for math and logic. I also love to see people be able to grow and learn in ways that they did not know that they could. There is also joy for me in learning as well because by teaching people I also get to learn and grow and get to grow a connection to the people that I am teaching. I am a college student pursuing a bachelors degree in computer science with a minor in mathematics. Math has always been a passion of mine, and I love the way numbers and calculations work to bring understanding to problems. I also have a lot of passion for teaching others and trying to help others achieve a better understanding of the material that they are studying along with helping them grow and appreciate the subject that I know and love.
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process with a new student is to get to know them and how they view the subject that they are working on. Whether they view it as a passion that just needs more help to fully develop, a burden to be overcome, or something else entirely. Once I have begun to know this information I like to begin by introducing the basic ideas around the subject or topic at hand to get a better grasp around the fundamentals. This helps me learn who the student is as a person and how they like to learn and interact with the subject so that the relationship is built and the way to approach the subject can be improved for each of the individual students
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a large background in mathematics. I am pursuing a mathematics minor and a computer science degree. I have taken up to Calculus III, linear algebra, and statistics at the college level. I have been at the top of my class throughout high school and college. math has always come easily to me, and I love to share and learn with people while improving my own skills.

Hello! One of my favorite things is helping someone learn something that was previously a mystery to them. That sudden "A-ha!" moment that everyone has when learning something new and difficult is an amazing feeling to have, as is the feeling when you help someone reach that enlightened state.
I have been tutoring students in subjectes ranging from pre-algebra to abstract algebra to differential equations for over 4 years (in person and online via www.*** and varsity tutors), have been awarded many FAMAT trophies and have a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida.

Hello ! I am a math major at Mount Holyoke College and I am interested in tutoring students in mathematics from all levels of grade school. I have ample tutoring experience from Kumon Learning Center, as well as being a teacher's assistant at my college in a variety of courses (Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1, and Linear Algebra). I am very familiar with Zoom, and this is where I would be holding my tutoring sessions.

Here, our services go over at a slow pace to ensure that our students understands the curriculum. Our teaching is very flexible, allowing the child to go slower in difficult subjects while challenging previously known knowledge. Your child will be able to excell in no time!
For my math students, I hope to make sure they understand. Anybody can memorize something, but to understand is just exceeding that standard. I'll begin by giving a simple problem in most instances that I'll have them look over and use their logical systemic approach to examine with. They'll use their logic to examine, and if they get it right, great! If they make mistakes, it's great too, because now we can go over it during the lesson to show what to do and why!
For my English students, I want them to use their imagination. Books and writings are based off imagination, not knowledge. You can take as much information as possible, but if you have no way to imagine how you'll present that, then it won't work. My teaching in this subject will go over this, and I hope I can improve their skills throughout the course.
I have worked with a family member who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), so I did work with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapists for about three years, but I have no problem working with any other students.
I feel very happy to teach, so I do not hope for mush. I wish to mainly teach online through Zoom primarily so that I can show the work since I do not wish to use my source of transportation to travel many distances as I'm a minor. I would set a standard of twelve dollars an hour, the minimum for minimum wages in California.

I'm currently taking Honors Geometry and would love to tutor your child! I tutor from basic math (pre-k/kindergarten) all the way to Algebra (8th grade). I'm available every Sunday during the school year (except for Holidays/sick days) and Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays during the summer. The student will have to come over to my location (my house) for the tutoring session. Snacks will be provided most of the time, but feel free to bring your own! I'm fluent in Urdu (as well as English). I look forward to tutoring. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Thank you!

My teaching style is customized according to the level and goal of the students but one thing is constant, I always give my 100% in each class. I ensure that my students feel comfortable and relaxed in my class. I find it helpful to break the tutoring session up into sections. I start by building a good rapport and finding out what the students really need help with.
I tutor the following subjects: Elementary math, middle school math, algebra, geometry, algebra II, algebra III, linear algebra, Pre-calculus and college algebra.
including PSAT, SAT, ACT, and GRE.
