I am a high school senior who has prepared New York Regents preperation materials for fellow students in the past. Every student I have helped have passed their regents and almost all of them have scored greater than an 85. I am most knowledgable about Earth Science and Biology. However, I can help students in Algebra I, Physics and Chemistry. I ask that students provide me an understanding of what they have already learned, for example if a student needs help with homework I ask them to come with notes their teacher provided, so I have an understanding of a student's prior knowledge and what I can build off of to help them understand complex concepts.

I have privately tutored math, science, history, and english (including SAT 1 and SAT subject tests) for 5 years. Several of my students scored 800s (perfect score is 800). I taught children (grades K-11) in these subjects as well. I have also taught SSAT for middle school students. I also taught at JEI where I taught children ranging from 1st grade to 12th grade reading, writing, and math. I love working with kids and I try to make sure that they are having a good time while learning.

I started tutoring in high school as a volunteer in my community and quickly became attached to it. I helped elementary school students with English and vocabulary and middle school students with Math subjects like Geometry and Pre-Algebra. It later became my first job experience as I made my tutoring lessons private. I enjoy seeing students grasp concepts they used to struggle with because of my assistance.

Hello! I would love to help you (or you child) foster a love for learning and further your education! Whether you're falling behind in a class, looking to get ahead, or pursuing an outside interest, I'm the person for you! I am currently a high school student with over 6 years of experience in childcare and teaching. I have worked with both neurotypical and neurodivergent students and believe I am well equipped to help students of all skill levels and abilities. I am currently a private music instructor and a daycare teacher, throughout the stay at home order for the Covid-19 pandemic, I worked for a family as a 1-on-1 tutor to help their children (6 and 14) with online/distance learning. I have a passion for music and believe it to be an important tool to be used when learning/teaching new subjects. I am always looking to learn more and approach every opportunity to educate myself further. Your tutoring session will be tailored to you, if you learn better through conversation and the socratic method, then we'll do that! If you learn better through worksheets and tests, that is exactly what we'll do. Upon graduating high school, I'm planning on pursuing a degree in Inclusive Early Childhood Eduation from Bowling Green State University with a minor in music performance! I have a weighted GPA of www.*** and recieved a 31 on my ACT. Please feel free to email me at ***@*** com with any questions/comment/concerns you may have! I look forward to getting to know you and/or your student, and learning together!

Hi, my name is Taylor. I am 18 and currently attend Michigan State University. I have been tutoring for 4 years and really like to focus learning tailored to the specific student. I used to dread going to certain classes because the teachers would not teach in a way beneficial to me, so i know how important it is to individually tailor lessons to how different brains work.

Hi I'm Ani! I am currently a student at the University of Michigan, majoring in Chemical Engineering and minoring in Computer Science. In my time as a student, I have noticed that while it is possible to get away with memorization techniques in some situations, having a strong understanding of the material you are being tested on is the best way to set yourself up for success. I try to incorporate this mindset as much as possible in my tutoring approach, as it not only allows students to understand the material, but also gives a sense of confidence that is vital for learning. I focus on 'weak points' in a student's understanding of a material and allow them to apply their knowledge to practice material. This way, students are able to receive a lesson on the material as well as test their understanding of the content with guidance, should they need any.

I am pursuing my computer engineering bachelor's but have experience teaching students of all levels by breaking everything into steps and making sure the concepts are understood before moving on. I also like to create study guides as that is what has helped me be successful in my educational career. I also have attended online lectures and am being trained to guide groups over zoom so I know fun and exciting ways to keep students engaged and have tools to make the experience as immersive as possible.
