Hello! My name is Gaby, and I'm a first generation Mexican-American Chicagoan. I'm a Bilingual Special Education major with over five years of experience teaching a wide range of age groups and www.*** ;The subjects I'm strongest in are Language Arts (reading and writing), Spanish, Applied Mathematics, and History. I have experience working with students ages 4-22. I firmly believe in real-life application and creativity as methods of teaching. The process of learning should be an organic one in which everyone's uniqueness should be encouraged and respected.

I am a student looking to teach fellow students. I am completely comfortable with teaching all math through trig/pre-calc, all other subjects for K-8, and I also have experience with teaching art, art theory, and art history. I had experience with teaching friends and family and I am currently finding ways to practice my teaching skills with students outside of my friends and family. My main goal in tutoring is to give students the skills and knowledge they need to achieve whatever dreams they may have!

Hi!
I have experience tutoring high school students and traning creative professionals, as well as raising my own daughter to love reading, music, art, and being endlessly curious. My specialties include English language and literature, history, art history, and social sciences. I took AP English, History, Physics, Chemistry, and Calculus in high school all while playing two sports. In college I received academic, music, and art scholarships and graduated with Honor. I have tremendous empathy for learners of all ages and greatly value the guidance I received as a student. I welcome every opportunity to pay it forward and help students as a tutor.
My career as an artist and web designer has given me a love of humanities and culture. Soon after completing my bachelor's degree in graphic design, I started a "penny university" - an independent coffee shop - that hosted poetry readings, live music, art shows, and a high school philosophy club. For over a decade, I have independently studied and written about art history, ancient and European history, and languages including English, Spanish, Italian, and Latin. I have travelled several times to Europe, including London, Oxford, Rome, and Florence, and I have lived, worked, and studied in Chicago, Portland, and New York.
