Hello! My name is Austin, and I am a high school student and online tutor. I am a current junior at my high school and wish to help other students around my age (9-16) with troubling academics. I am able to provide full help with the inside secrets of middle and high school at a low and reasonable cost. All meetings/appointments would be virtual through a free online meeting platform. I would be very flexable with appointment dates and times since I have a revolving schedule as a student (The schedule provided is subject to change). If you would like to have any help with academics or want more information, email me at --- ***@***
Thanks,
Austin

I currently teach for the DOE and specialize in Middle School Math and Science. I work with a wide range of students that vary at all levels. My students range in their learning based on their learning needs. Typically, I work with students that need to be challenged through enrichment, to better prepare them for an intense academic environment, as well as making several modifications for learners that require scaffolding techniques by applying learning strategies that benefit their own learning style. I implement new methods on how to tackle any multi-step word problem and show learners different methods in problem solving.

As far as it comes to general education: I've been there, and I've done that. Having said that, I'd like to denote the absolute importance of true learning and actual knowledge of a subject - something that is difficult to ascertain in a classroom where you are simply going through the motions of socialisation.
So if you're looking to cut through the mundane and get a deeper understanding of some material, or if you're looking for someone to help you game the system to turn busy work into light work - then I'm your guy.
Also, don't be discouraged by the thought that I won't be able to translate the material well to someone that isn't accustomed to AP classes, rather, consider it like so: I can help provide that deeper "AP analysis and understanding" without all of the "rigor", or rather, all the busy work, cramming material, www.*** it as getting a taste of an AP experience through a much friendlier, understanding, and eloquent medium that has seen what works and what doesn't work in terms of teaching students, and can therefore pick and choose the good from the bad to help you make sense of the www.*** said that, here are some of my credentials:I've taken 11 APs throughout my high school career:-AP Economics (5/4)-AP Lang and Comp (5)-AP Calc BC (3)-AP Physics 1 (3)-AP US History (5)-AP Psych (4)-AP Lit and Comp (-)-AP Comp Sci A (-)-AP Statistics (-)-AP Physics C (-)-AP French Lang (-)I have a 97(dot)91/100 weighted GPA, which translates in practicality to a 4(dot) www.*** seems this website censors dots as websites, which is a bit odd.

Tutoring Approach/Experience
APPROACH:I focus on understanding of the concepts and developing the student's ability to solve problems -- rather than tedious drill and temporary www.*** I get results! (Demonstrated score improvement, passing courses, raising grades, etc.)2. Knack for establishing good rapport with each www.*** Focus on understanding concepts and developing skills and strategies to solve www.*** Also, my ability to make things understandable, in writing and in www.*** :30+ years college teaching, plus private tutoring in academic subjects and "test-prep" techniques. Also taught and/or managed many employee-training programs. Developed curricula for training programs, civil-service exam preparation courses, etc. as well as for after-school science clubs and summer www.*** professional career was primarily in software development and management, at Brookhaven National Lab (BNL), Grumman, Robotic Vision, American Science, and other Long Island companies, and as a software consultant and website www.*** am also a professional writer, with thousands of pages published, and I currently host two weekly radio shows on a local radio station. Hello, I have been tutoring and helping children for around 18 months now in various settings – tutoring small and large groups, and private individual tutoring. I mainly tutor Elementary and middle school level in most subjects including Maths, English and Science, and High School Psychology, Science and English. I also can help with SATs prep, SOLs and essay editing or support as well as College application or general university advice. I can also help with coursework/homework in all subjects in term of checking for grammar and punctuation and general flow of the coursework piece. In my previous tutoring placement at a school I, along with the teachers ensured that all the students were able to pass their SATs, an achievement that the school had never accomplished. This proves my dedication towards each child ensuring that they are able to achieve their goals to the best of their ability. Please let me know if you have any questions and would love to work with you!
