Hi Students and Professionals, I would like to invite you to work with me because I am a highly qualified instructor, teacher and adjunct professor. As an experienced and passionate instructor, I am committed to helping you be the best you can be in your subjects of choice. I specialize in computer science, math, electrical engineering and the sciences. I have two degrees from MIT and each degree is in "Electrical Engineering and Computer Science". My GPA for undergrad is 4 point 2 out of 5 and 4 point 6 out of 5 for grad school and I have won a number of awards. I have been teaching for over 15 years and I have taught over 400 students and professionals. I have over 5 years of cumulative teaching experience. My name is Hector T. and I am a previous 2nd grade educator with a love of learning! I truly believe that an excellent education is the foundation of a happy life and I am fully capable of helping your student realize that. A problem occurs in education when we teach a lesson in isolation. I will spend time making connections with your student so they emerge seeing the greater picture that is made up of puzzle pieces they have placed! I aim to know my student’s goals and highlight that every academic accomplishment is one step closer. I currently hold a certification in pk-8th education, and I'm confident I could help a student improve academically!

1) A thoughtful lesson: I will require prior notice on desired lesson and topic so I can come prepared to execute
2) Progress updates: I will personally email you progress updates on how your student does on exit assessment (every lesson will have one.)
3) Extension opportunities: As seen fit, I will provide extension work for your student to complete to practice skills!

I am an undergraduate 3rd year student at University of Oregon, I am also a classroom assistant at McCornack Elementary School, I work in a 4th grade classroom, my job responsibilities include correct kids' assignments, assign homework, write on the dry erase board, teach with the teacher, and tutor kids if they are struggling with their academics, especially in math. Experienced teacher with 10+ yrs. working with K-8 as a teacher, private tutor and Director of After School programs for school districts in Santa Barbara and Carpinteria, I have a master’s in child psychology w/a BA in Speech therapy & Audiology.
