I am retired after teaching elementary grades for 32 years. I have experience in kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. I currently teach English online to children. I enjoy working with children one-on-one. I am married and have 9 furry children.
Graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 1984 with a B. A. in Biology and minor in Chemistry. I began tutoring as an Upward Bounds Tutor Counselor upon graduating. I was responsible for eighteen recently graduated high school seniors. I acted as a liaison between students, professors and parents. Assisted students with English and college level Math classes. Later throughout the last 25 years+, have worked off and on as the need has presented itself as a Private Tutor Counselor for students 4 - 70 years old. Have successfully helped many students gain the skills and confidence in mastering difficult subjects. I tend to focus on Math, Algebra, and English Comprehension. I help students gain core strengths, and study skills which allows them to carry that knowledge into all aspects of their lives. I am confident that with work, dedication and commitment, that any and all students can reach their highest level of potential and academic success.
I am currently in university, studying towards earning my bachelor's in education where I will be starting to teach from Kindergarten to 8th-grade students. I have been tutoring for over four years now and for the past 2 years, I have also a been part of a program with my school where we go to elementary/middle schools around the city and help tutor students and make sure they get the help that they need. I am able to tutor students who need help with math, science, English or social studies.
I worked as a Supplemental Instructor and Peer Tutor at Loyola University Chicago. I would reinforce class material and help develop long-lasting study skills. I also work at J at Chicago and help with after school care. I know what it is like to be a student struggling with a class or having to study for a class they hate. I hope to help teach tricks and correlate to real-life make studying more interactive and fun.

While I am committed to tutoring material, I believe the most important thing a child can learn is passion and motivation. This is kind of a late response, but let me know if you’re still interested! My number is tel: *** but you can also PM me back.
I have experience as a tutor with kids aged 4-16 while working at Huntington Learning Center. I helped kids work on reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, elementary math, middle school math, algebra, and ACT test prep. I was also a camp counselor where I directed the art program. I believe learning should be fun and having a positive attitude towards learning, especially when working with a challenging subject, goes a long way. I am currently working towards my PhD in Biomedical Sciences and I wanted to continue tutoring while working towards my PhD.

I am a 20 year old college student currently pursuing a degree in Health Sciences at Purdue Univeristy. I graduated high school in 2018 with a 4. 0 GPA. I plan to attend medical school when I complete my undergraduate studies. I am seeking to aid those in need of academic assistance. Whether that be homework help, tutoring in a specific subject, providing study materials, etc. The subjects I have listed on my profile are all subjects that I have completed courses in with in A either in high school, college, or both. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions! I would prefer to work online through video chat or other methods, but if you live within walking or biking distance of me (or a public place you'd like to meet at) I am more than willing to do that as well!
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, being active, and serving at my church. I am very passionate about missions and hope to one day live abroad as a missionary using my medical skills to serve. I spent the last two summers living in Haiti working with a mission in the northwest zone. I had planned to do so this summer, but with COVID-19 was not able to do so. Thus, I am looking to work this summer.
I look forward to getting to know you and hopefully assist you with whatever you may need!
